If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Hey Everyone,

I had taken a little advice from one of my co-members and tweaked it a little more. I had changed the colour scheme from Greys and blacks to Red, White and black. The design had changed quite a bit. I also started the concept on the seat as well to coincide with the tank. Materials have been ordered for the seat, Red top, black sides and thinking about either laser engraving or embroidering the sides of the seat with something, not sure yet. But check out the digital mockup.

Ideas and opinions are welcomed.

thanks tkent, not sure what the projectile is. I hope its a good thing lol

Well it used to be a 750, now it's a 1000, soon it will be an 1100. Ongoing project. It's pretty fast, should get a lot faster. So it's a project that goes like a projectile.

ahhh I get it, unfortunatly this design is not up for grabs lol, but I could do something for you if your looking for something custom. let me know and we could work something out

never thought of it, might be something to consider. see what concences says

Figure out what a ballpark cost would be, I bet there would be several of us interested.
Paint stripes are a pain to do and that looks a lot better than anything I could do with paint.

+1 on that. Looks like you have your own business running soon. What happened to the other design? Quite a difference. I liked the other one better personally.

Wow, I'd be iterested as well. Let me know the price and we'll go from there

Tank Wrap (on actual tank)

Tank Wrap (on actual tank)

Hey fellas and ladies,

Here is the latest on the tank wrap. I had printed and laminated the design yesterday and applied today, installation time was approx 2.5hours.

Coolsprt - The original design was good but there was just something not working for me. I wanted to uintegrate the colour into the seat and white seat top sounded cool but the whole dirt thing turned me off. I really like the idea of red and black and drew up several ideas and this was the one that came out of it.

Pricing - If a customer had brought me the design and said here print it I would set it up and print it for $75. If a customer wanted me to design it print and apply it I would charge $300-$600 depending on the complexity of the artwork and time involved designing it.

Check out the attached pics, these pics are of the actual tank wrapped. It turned out pretty sweet.

I had just up loaded a bunch of angles of the tank, I was only able to attach one in here so if you go to:

Community - GS 78r's You can view my albums, it has a different angles you can view it at.

vinyl wrap tank.....fantastic...............

vinyl wrap tank.....fantastic...............

i,ve got a 1980 gs1000e,,, that i,d be interested in somethingi, hot red....and suzuki decals on sides.....how will it wear and dramas if a small petrol spill happened while filling up ..would it be easy for me in kaniva for apply...regards david from kaniva :):)

The print is laminated so the ink will not run. The gas might dull the surface a little over time. The installation on a full wrap is not easy by all means, but if your tank is red and you want the decals for the sides, that would work also. But if you wanted the whole tank wrapped like mine then installing it your self would pose alot of challenges. You could always go to your local sign shop and see how much they would install for you.

gmskee, yea I understand what you mean now. Final product looks great. Wish I could do that on my own.

Man Im diggin that can you do one for an 82 1100e?

How sensitive are these wraps to imperfection in the paint below? In other words, would a chip or dimple in the paint below show up in the vinyl pretty readily? Or do they tolerate that stuff to some extent?
