A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Watching MY bikes leave the driveway ...

Steve

GS Whisperer
... and I'm not on either one.

Both boys are home. :dancing:

Mrs. Steve and I are cleaning the toy room.

Neither son is all that interested in helping. :o

They want to go for a ride, but #1 son's bike has been apart for a couple of years awaiting some body repairs.
#2 son's bike came home last month because engine power is not getting to the rear wheel.

So, they hi-jack (with my permission) the two bikes that were running.

#1 son is on my Wing for the first time, but #2 son rode "Junior" on the 'Roo Rally, so he is comfortable with it.
They came back a couple of hour later, both of them with big smiles.

Those dang kids...take, take, take...
Yeah, but they GIVE, too, so I can't complain too much.

Maybe their schedule will allow them to add to this picture some time. This is my three sisters and their husbands with my wife and me.

Some day we might be able to add the extra five bikes that belong to all of our kids, too. :D

Love the choice of riding gear.

What gear? Helmets only.

They would not be leaving my driveway dressed like that on my bikes.

Heck, I wouldn't allow them to leave looking like that on their bikes either.
(Just ask my kids.) ;)

I think I'd be more worried about the young fella on the Oldwing.
He may come home from a two hour ride with gray hair and alzheimers.

It happens to be my choice, too. :p
Not everybody insists on ATGATT.

Great pictures and it looked like a great day for the ride too.
Just a quickie shot with the cell phone as they were leaving.
Yeah, it's near the end of November and it's still 70 degrees. :dancing:

Again, it's a personal choice. Motorcycling in general requires you to assume a certain amount of risk that is inherent with the sport. Both of them are informed and have seen the consequences, and this is the level they choose to accept. Had I been on another bike with them, I would have been similarly dressed. Sorry if it does not meet your standards. :o

It may have been his first time on a Wing, but he bought an '83 Venture when he was only 18 and put about 15,000 miles on it one summer, commuting to work.
If you look in my sig, you will see his '86 Venture Royale, which he got when he was 19. His choice of bikes, not mine. :D

Hi Steve,

Well, at least you got them out of your hair so that you could get some work done.

It was a bit nippy on my way into work this morning. The bank said 42F when I drove by on my commute.

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

Yeah, it worked, too. Did you happen to see my post on "What did you wrench on today?"

The toy room went from this:

What, did you buy another garage? Where'd it all go?

Of course, now you'll never find anything ever again.

Don't tell Mrs. Dogma, but the truck should be arriving at YOUR place to cram it all into your single-wide garage some time tomorrow.
