A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Ebay. For the side panel grommets I just use some from Home Depot meant for electrical work.

I have a 1983 GS750T and I just ordered new tank bolts, tank grommets, rear fender bolts and oil cap from a local dealer.I was amazed I can still get new (replacement) parts for my 23 year old beast!

dealers can get some of the stuff.there is andersens vintage parts, old bike barn, and if you are rich there is bikebandit.com, and then of course ebay, and lastly there are often parts bikes here for sale.

Be careful with Anderson. Check the Deadbeat section for a thread on them.

You could try Bells Suzuki (Lexington USA). Most of these parts are still avaliable from Suzuki parts dealer but you may have to wait for some bits to arrive from Japan.

Have a look around on the net search for people near to where you live you'd be supprised at what you might find. The other option is to do some autojumbles, it amazing what you can find just like ebay. (Watch out for rip-off postage charges!)

Where abouts are you USA/UK or somewhere else?

Suzuki mad

GS1000E 1981
GSX1100ESD nearly back together.

I'm in AURORA IL. west of CHICAGO , I was not sure if dealers were still selling parts for older bikes
Ya I have seen he rip off shipping cost of some places. I laugh at the ones that I have seen on EBAY , 99 cents for the part $79.00 to ship
thanks for heads up

http://www.thriftyrider.com I have never ordered from them but you can select parts from the actual fiche for your bike. I believe that you may still be able to order the parts that show as discontinued. I don't think they show up if they are not available. I use the fiche for reference quite a bit.
