A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

What an amazing wife I have!!!

Do you find that the sophisticated chair makes the BMW more comfortable in the garage? A little continental flair to offset "zee others". - you know how Germans are.

Yes Andrew...quite right my dear fellow.:p Things on the BMW are much more...how do you say....Civilised. That is until you hit 7000rpm.

Yes my wife is trying to get rid of me for sure!:p
I took a few pics of my rudimentary carpet laying (father and mother in law took some out of their rental property and gave it to me:)) last night.
My little sanctuary is coming along.:D

Hmmm, a thought just hit me. I think we need a "who has the best bike storage/garage" contest. What'cha think?

Lol...Rob (AZR) is coming over today with my carbs he rebuilt for me to install back into the 750. Also do valve adjustment. Also put in a new electrosport stator. And that's IT for the 750. It shouldn't need anything else for awhile.:-k
As for the 1100 I have new ss brake lines fron jwhelan to install and new sonic for springs on my bench. Then that will be IT on that bike.:)
The plan now is to ride the new bike lots and the gs bikes to ride them lovingly.:p
As for a storage/garage contest..I would love to see other garage spaces. Mine pales in comparison to so many on here though. But it's working for my needs.:)

Well I couldn't enter but I'd sure have a shot for the Messiest Garage. Yeah, bring 'em on I might as well add "jealousy and envy" to my ever growing list of faults.

Nice touch with the carpet Trev but methinks it'll get soiled quickly with your dirty workboots. Oh silly me, I see we change into slippers before taking our Earl Grey and scones as we contemplate which spanner to twirl first. :)

Lol...I see you noticed the slippers.:D
Did anyone notice my new "artwork" (xmas gift from brother in law) hanging abouve my TV?:)

I call hoax.
A real working shop won't have a grinder/polisher beside the CD storage/stereo. :D

Lol...It's not ideal that's for sure. I have to put a piece of cardboard between the two when using the grinder.:(

Trevor,

I like mixing Suzuki's and BMW's in the garage too!

That's a great garage and a wonderful partner who helped you get it. You mentioned she was smart, funny and beautiful. I would add, and generous.

Thanks for sharing the story and best wishes to you both.

Chris

What bike do you have hidden under the cover there?

Ll...that's an 82 GS750e. I got it as a parts bike for a $100 shortly after buying my 80 750. It was not running when I bought it but it's got plenty of good parts. My plan was to get it running but it has more value to me as a parts bike. Even used the stator out it for my 750, paid for it's self right there.:)
All the bits are there, good tank, side covers etc.

Check out the water in the headlight..
