If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

what did you wrench on today??

Mcneilk, did you have to rejet for the 4 2 1 pipe on the honda? I have the same model with rusted out stock exhaust and have been thinking of adding a different pipe. It's my understanding that those carbs do not like pods though.

Nice looking bikes btw :)

Been at work for the last 2 weeks, (14 on 14 off) so no time to work on the scoots. I did however pick this up and will be taking delivery next week.

Like Jwhelan said,
Looks like A$$...
, I'm not 100% on what to do with it just yet. Probably restoration, I hate to break a GS down if I don't have to.

The wheels are period Akront, looks to be missing the airbox, but I'm sure I can find another!

I think under that skin of dust, you got a beauty, I am really getting an eye for these models. Gotta get one. Very nice addition to your GS addiction.lol

I could only look at my newly registered bike since on the way back from inspection I broke the tail light lens in the truck bed. No brake light, no riding:(. Luckily its been raining all weekend. Got home from work today and got my new brake light assembly I ordered from ebay on Friday. Now you would think I could just slap it on but since I broke one of the points to secure the lens I had to replace the whole assembly. With the seat taken off and tracing back some wires I got it all together without having to cut wires. It took me about an hour but I'm now street legal.

I love 'em, I'm not going to go crazy with it like I did the 750, (lots of GSXR parts). Just going to clean it up, repair what needs it, and enjoy. I really love the 1100's wish it were an 1150 though! I think it looks bad due to the dust, seat, and body panels not attached properly.

Welded up my new duck tail frame, and man do I suck at welding! It holds together at least...

Also POR 15'd the tank today too, I believe I followed the instructions to the T, so fingers crossed it's all good and curing away properly...

Loud engine tapping, pull the head cover off to find a valve lock nut was missing.

New chain and sprockets as the old one was ROACHED! All rusted up and many orings missing off the chain! Worked with Mike at Z1 got me both sprockets, chain, and small can of chain oil for less than $170. Not too bad!

Haven't put anything on here in a couple of days, but the fibreglass is on the duck tail frame, just waiting for it to cure so I can trim it back:

Gave the duck tail a sand and started trimming the excess off yesterday, still a way to go yet:

I haven't made it too small to get it to match the front of the stock duck tail either thankfully:

And got caliper paint on the caliper and other assorted carb bits etc:

Put in a new battery, tightened up the front brake lever, went the BMV--got the title and registration-- added the bike to my insurance and took my first ride on MY OWN bike in 10 years!

WHOO-HOOOOOO! (Pardon the joy--man, have I missed riding!)

Thanks, Gents!

Pete, started working through your build thread. That is a great looking project. Will be following your progress (up to page 12, but cheated and went to the end.)

Errr, yeah, there's a few pages to get through, pardon my rambling :o

Originally this bike took 10 days to build and 20 days to work out all the bugs. Well except for the reverse shift pattern problem, hope I will have resolved this situation soon. This bike i built from the frame up out of i believe 13 different parts bikes. I will post me pics when i figure out this site better.

dang that thing is crazy man, good work!

I finally got around to takeing the good headers for the 78 1000c and the good mufflers and made one good set from the two. It went very well and they look pretty good once i ran them on the buffer wheel with some good rouge. I will post pics tomorrow or monday.

Fixed the fuel gauge today. It broke a year or two ago so I have been using the trip odometer for fuel stops. Last month the trip odometer broke. Yesterday I had to switch to reserve (while in traffic) b/c I had gone too far. Enough was enough, so I traced everything down and fixed it today. It is not accurate, never was, but it is better than nothing.

I removed the carburetor, air filter, and spark plug off that old Sears lawn tractor I told you about last year. I'll probably dip the carb soon and see if I can find a new plug and filter for it. Hopefully I can figure out a way to see if it runs here soon.
