All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

what did you wrench on today??

Ooooh pretty! I like it :D

I cut out my brackets for the fly screen last night but that's about it...

Pretty much finished up the fly screen tonight, but still yet to mount it and take it for a test ride.

My tacho carked it today so I need to work that out before mounting the screen. Not sure what the problem is yet...

Installed the motor, carbs, airbox, tires mounted balanced and installed. Wiring, gear shifter and that will about wrap my build up.

Found weirdness with my tacho today... really need to get an Acewell on there and solve it once and for all.

Mounted the fly screen after a spit and polish today and gave it a quick test run. Bit hard to tell if it does anything as I'm only able to get up to 70kmh legally near here, need a longer/faster test route...

Welded on some new footret mounts on the Mk.II and lifted it down on the floor to get a feel for the riding position. Feels really nice.

Wiring and new brake lines and it'll be ready for the road!

Given how much most of the gs'ers on here hate seeing a bike cut to pieces, I can't say I didn't see that reply from a mile away.

L models were designed from the Factory to be cut up. ;)
It is that awful choice of colors that reminds me of what it was like when I drank too much. YUK!

It is your bike and YOU will be seen on it and not me. Enjoy.

Hey there Greg....

I don't think those flowers you planted down there to the left are going to grow, much....LOL

Helped Mothra get his 450 finally running (course he did all the work before I got there :D). Now he just needs to fix the R/R and he'll be golden.

Told Pete I was going to steal his idea:D

Haha you did indeed! Feels good to have a lot more space to move things around the wheels though does it not? :D

Awesome Scott! I've seen him post so many frustrated posts and I never reply because I just can't think of anything to add to be helpful, so I'm really glad to see you were able to go help him out, and hopefully he can finally enjoy the fruits of his labour :D

Haven't really tried it yet.Lowered it a bit, think it will be easrier this way.

A big fat nothing. I dropped my bike off a week ago at a shop to get it synced.

After cleaning the carbs they found that the petcock isn't working properly. So thanks to old_skool, I got a manual petcock and mounting bracket. The guy is going to convert it.
So hopefully that solves all of my fuel issues.

I also ordered a new set of sprockets(T18 and T50 iirc) and a new tach cable. All that I know I will be getting next is a new horn and a new chain. I have no idea what chain to get.
Any suggestions? Just puttzing around town. I'd like to not spend a whole lot on a chain.

did gaskets on the 1150 er 1100, new exhuast gaskets and header n pipe, carbs back on tomarrow and valve check and adjustment if needed, waiting on paint on my body work.should be tuning this weekend riding next week woohoo wish me luck hehe
