If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

I want to keep the spoke wheels and i'm wondering if there is a model which had dual front brake forks that will fit the bike. I've done the search and all i've found is the twin pot upgrade but it doesn't say what forks to use. Any help is appreciated.

78 GS750 forks

78 GS750 forks

My 78 GS750 has 35mm diameter fork tubes same as my GS650GL.
Bikecliff has a reference chart on his web site that lists dimensions for various parts on GS series motorcycles. That may be of help for you.

650G or E fork sliders have two brakes and 35mm tubes, but the tubes are a little bit shorter on the 650. Bought a set yesterday, they just a little shorter, 20mm maybe?

Also use the brake calipers from the 650, they are much better.

I think using the 750 tubes in the 650 sliders would work, I'll tell you for sure in a week or two.

Some of the 750s had two front brakes as well, you need to get both fork legs.

I just went through this same thing. Have 77 gs750, had dual disk but left lower slider was from single disk bike. Never was right! Last week bought 82 gs650 forks with correct mounting for calipers. I will rebuild and use the 750 uppers for correct length. I wanted the upgraded brakes so I bought 96 zx600 dual piston calipers and master cylinder,96 Honda F3 full floater disk and search out Salty monk on this site for the addapters for disk and calipers $82 delivered. Easy to install! You will need the right side spacer from the gs650 to get disk centered. I am running with spokes too. Looks bad ass! I can send pics if you like
