    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Ok, this may sound like a stupid question, but seeing as I am not into bike racing, crotch rockets and all that I was not familiar with that word until I got on here and started seeing bikes, mainly Katana's, E, and GSXRs with the sticker for them. I did a search and all I came up with is that it looks like a Suzuki approved aftermarket parts resource for high performance. Is this right? Thanks in advance!

Yoshimura sells aftermarket parts for bikes, I believe mainly exhausts. They may have more that I don't know about though. So basically you are right in your thinking.

It is a name. Of the man that invented many a mod of advanced technology for it's time.

The Yoshimura team is what helped Wes Cooley's bike be up to par to win the AMA super bike chanpionship two years in a row over two decades ago.

The name is synonymous with Jap racing bikes and parts.

There is a loads of info on him available on the internet. Here is just one.

one more, one of Wes Cooley's Yosh modified championship winning bikes:

Think of Yoshimura mods to the Jap bike as Screaming Eagle mods are to the Harley Davidson.

Ok guys, thanks for explaining it, I figured it was all about the hiproformance aspect!. Appreciate it! :P :P

Basically, Yoshimura has worked hand in hand with Suzuki for years.

If you're choosing between Yoshimura and another brand for the same part, go with Yosh.

Yosh does make parts for other bikes that work equally well with those bikes, but their forte is Suzuki racing.

-Q!

As mentioned above,Yoshimura is the last name of a fellow that did alot of race work on bikes, especially Suzuki. He fondly went by the name "Pop's Yoshimura" He is a legend!!

A legend for sure and probably the finest motorcycle performance tuner to ever come from Japan.

Mark;

I believe you are incorrect; Yoshimura parts are meant to improve performance. :lol:
