    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

What's a T?

That would depend on whether you had chrome bodies or black. :-k

.
To tell the truth, I don't think I've seen chrome rectangle turns on a GS, but obviously I'm referring to the black ones.:wink-new:

This may need clarification for those who don't know about the chrome rectangular indicators.
Clarification? How about pictures?

Thanks Steve!

I wonder if they produce the black with the round lights. Wait a minute...I think I prefer the chrome.

I think the chrome ones might have only been on the shafties. :-k And probably only on the G models, not the GL.

Might have started the chrome with the '82 1100G, then the 850 got them in '83, but I'm not real sure of that.

.

The '82, and '83 750T were almost identical. The only major difference between the 2 were the engine color, and the paint schemes were flipped. Both years only came in Black/Charcoal, and Black/Red. Both years had a ROUND headlight. Both years had the same engine, same HP, and same displacement. The '82 was a silver engine, and the '83 had a black one. Other than those few differences, they were virtually identical... I personally like the black engine, and the paint scheme of the '83 better...

OH ! ! ! And the '83 speedo went to 140, where as all '82's only went to 85...

Here's the RED tank and Covers for those who have not seen it! It's not the reverse of the colors mentioned but a nice paint job, nonetheless.

I can't believe I waited this long to display what I have!!!

As I recall from Suzuki adds in the day, "T" was for "Traditional" and "L" was "Low Slinger". (Sorry to disappoint anyone who bought an "L" in the belief that it was for Penny Marshals sweaters in Laverne and Shirley... it just looks like that).

I believe that Suzuki went to the square turn signals in '81 when they also added running lights on the front. My '81 1000G has black ones, the '82 1100G I gave to my brother has chrome ones. The black goes fine with the black plastic headlight shell. Honestly, I can't say that I hadn't cared which I had. Now I'm wondering how the '81 would look with chrome ones. I have some spare chrome round ones which are metal. Not sure what they are from, or if they are aftermarket. A Motorcycle salvage yard in Phoenix had them behind the counter, and I bought them. Nearly all have been used up in Windjammer removals.
