Looking good. I think I need to repaint the interior of mine this year. Starting to look dirty.

Wow! Nice job on the bike's paint....
And the trailer....
How did you finish the walls ?

Looks like the whiteboard I used in mine.
And your floor is much nicer, I just painted mine with grey floor paint.

As for snow, its snowing today and we are suppose to race at RT66 on the 22nd....:?

Course I'm not even ready yet...still waiting on parts from Schnitz....

The days are just too short and I can't seem to stay up as late as I used too. LOL

I turned down a little ring for the fuel cap to dress her up a bit.

This valve is to turn on the nitrous. I used to have to lift the body to do it. I can now just reach down while sitting on it. Great for sitting in the lanes....

Well shoot....my parts are due to arrive today, but now I'm too embarressed to look at my bike:oops:

Nice Lecroy, very, very nice!:-D

Let me give you all a little advice. Don't use stick tiles on your walls of the trailer. They won't stick. Liquid nails time! LOL.

Bob, my thought is that if the bike makes it down the track without leaking oil, it's a good bike. My favorite bikes are not always eye candy, or the quickest. I like the ones that you can tell the people who own them, built them. We have a guy that runs a hand built turbo bike. Even the body work was hand made. He is lucky when the bike makes it down the track. Each part has a story. The bikes I like the least are the cookie cutters, with some paint.

Thanks again for the comments. All of the bikes are being painted. I need to get some pictures of the real flame bike. We were laughing that we may need to take the summer off and just show them before they have any battle scars.

Lecroy...I hear ya about good bikes...but yours is still purdie:-D

Well my parts arrived yesterday....
A new outer bearing support kit for the sprocket from B&G...plus a new set of fibers and steels....
Gonna try and get it all done today and start her up tomorrow....
Plus finish cleanin' out the trailer....I put a few things in it at the end of the season to make more room in the garage....

First race next Sunday.....\\:D/ \\:D/

Didn't leave any time for T&Ts this year....just unload and go...

LMAO!!! At first I didn't believe it was the same trailer, then I noticed the air and fire tanks.

I vow not to use my trailer for a second garage. LOL.

I solved the loading problem, the cheap way. One 6 foot 4X4 and a chain saw. Seems perfect for the height. I picked up a little 12 volt winch and bolted it into the floor off to the side. It has a little remote control so I can run it while holding onto the bike. I replaced the steel line with a nylon cord. Just have a loop that I will put around the peg. Mounted the ramp to the side of the trailer and got the tool box bolted in. Used silicone on the tiles. This seems to hold them in place.

Was just going to tie it down from the front but took the bike for a test drive and she shifted. So I need a channel or two more tie points and its ready. Just need some warm weather now.

I do the same thing. My trailer is still full of lawn furniture and garage stuff I wanted to store. Gonna have to get it out this week.

Thompson actually opened today. I was working, but did stop by after work just to watch a bit. it was mid forties this afternoon and snowing by 7 pm.

I didn't shoot this video. It's a friend of mine making his first 9 second pass. 9.53 @138.

So much for my latest jetting. Tried some driveway tests today and it is now way too rich. Another call to Sudco...

On the plus side, this is the kids bike with the new paint..
paint22.jpg

Torco Skull Shine images on the sides are hand painted..

He wants to learn to ride a car tire bike. Dad's been trying to figure out what to put him on. Ended up with a whole new bike. It's a Kaw. Not as quick (8.90s bike) as the Suzuki (8.60 with 3/4 throttle) but should be more deadly. Has "2006 track champion" painted on the tail. LOL He plans to start the season with the little bike, then switch over the the Kaw after we get some time on it.

I like the flames on the Kaw with the full body.

Is that the same car with new paint?

When we bought the trailer, the guy says to the wife that we can use it for storage in the winter. My wife says, that's saying that it's time for my husband to get rid of some stuff. LOL

I finished it up today and we tried out the winch. It works great. I can load and unload the bike by myself with ease. It just needs a big screen TV in the front.

Fancy lookin' trailer ya got there, Lecroy....:-D

Your son is one lucky kid....wait til I see my Dad..gonna ask him how come I never had a bike like that...:-D

One week from the first race and the trailer is cleaned out, the new sprocket support is on and the bike fired right up.....Lookin' good...\\:D/
Nitrogen tank is down to a few hundred pounds, so I'll get a new one this week...

Only seven days til 140mph...hehe

Thanks, Now that I have actually loaded the bike, I like it too. The best part is now we have room for food in the car when we go. LOL

As much as I would like to claim him, I can't. He is a friend of mines. He has grown up around dragbikes and started running ProStar at 14 (I think) on the RD. Good kid. Deadly on the tree. At ProStar you were not allowed to ride anything in the pits (even a mini-bike) without a valid drivers license. When he would run they would make comments that he was not old enough to ride a pit bike around, but he was going over 100 MPH down the track. It has been a lot of fun watching him grow up and improve his skills at the track. Not just riding skills, but how to use the weather station and wrench on his own bike. I can't wait to see how he does with the car tire. He used to ride the bikes before I started pitting, so it's not new to him.

I would still ask your Dad. Maybe he will buy you a new bike now that your older?!

The kid...

There's dad, and the little RD. 11.30's LOL!!

He bought that car at the end of last year. he just changed the name on it. He went thru 4 cars last year. He wanted to go faster than his 11 second vega so he sold it and bought an altered. Real low tens with a mild big block. It had no suspension in the back and he wasn't very comfortable with the bouncing. Traded that for an older dragster with a 327 on alcohol. Neat car, but he had alot of trouble getting in and out of it. Then he traded the dragster for this car. It's almost like an old funny car thats been converted. Full tube chassis car. All the body work is fiberglass. From the inside you can see where the hatch was fiberglassed over. The motor in it had a cracked block when he got it. He ended up basically selling all the parts off the motor and buying another motor with one season on it. He said he's going to slow it down and try and run 10's with it. I helped him put the motor in and did a bunch of wiring for him. he let me run his old vegal last year and made a comment about me taking a pass in this car over the summer.

I would say you guys have a very talented painter over there. Thos bikes look awesome.

LOL!:-D Older, yup...turned 51 a couple of weeks ago.
Actually my Dad did buy me my first bike...a Honda 50 Scooter back in '70 or '71...

Right now, I think I'm supposed to be looking for a drag bike for him.
He's 72 and just went though his second chemo treatment for leukemia....
Back in January, he asked me to keep an eye out for one...
He said if the chemo works, he should have a couple of good years and he'd like to try it out...

Mom and I aren't sure if he's serious...he's hard to read.
