... for rewinding my GS1000S stator?
Yes, the old one was fried beyond belief, black and gnarly and an 'orrible sight indeed, Your Honour. So I forked out and bought a newie on eBay, installed no problems and the charging system is sparky and zappy once again. Schweet!
However, looking at the old cooked stator now currently parked on my workbench, I thought that it would be a bit of a waste just tossing it in the bin...
... so I'd like to have a shot at rewinding it myself.
Can anyone tell me
Mike.

Can anyone tell me
- what grade and/or type copper winding wire I will need;
- approx. what length I'll need; and
- what might be the pitfalls on the path to a successfully rewound stator, that you chaps/ chappettes are aware of?!
Mike.
