A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

What's your favorite flavor?

You're gonna get a chance to have some fun when I finally get the Kat to you (and the '78 1K as well) Larry. I know I've been saying that for a while, but it's coming.

I swear, probably 75% of my business comes from the folks on this site. You guys have been amazing. I'm grateful. ;)

The bottom of the tank was actually in very nice condition, so I had the color matched from that. It's virtually dead on to the original. The top of the tank had been spray canned (badly) several times with various blues, so it was a miracle that the underside had remained basically untouched.

Wes Cooley is awesome. My first pick.'

Black and White skunk come in a close second.

Done well on the right bike (like your cafe Octain) it would look awesome...

Yeah the cafe needs a redo. It's spray bombed right now but someday I would love to do it right.

I still think a matte black skunk would look awesome. I'm talking base with OEM pinstripes and a matte clear.

I like the black with blue stripe, followed by the red... What would really be cool is the red with a black stripe instead of white!

Octain, I met a guy on a ride last year who took his brand new Harley to the paint shop because he wanted a matte finish on his maroon full dress. All they did was scuff it and spray flat clear on it, but it looked awesome!!!

Ok, I've thought about it some more and I'd like to see the red skunk, with black instead of white, and the blue from #2 instead of the gold pinstripes.

Call me traditional, but I like the Cooley and the Skunk myself. The Red Skunk isn't bad either. The black with blue stripe doesn't work for me though. Looks like some masking was left on. (NOT a criticism of your work!)

The blue all the way, but then again I'm a bit biased because that's how my '78 originally was painted. Right now its solid "space blue metallic" from the 2002 Bandit but I think it'd look good with the current color and reproduction decals.

Interesting replies, you guys. The black with blue stripes that some have mentioned is actually a very dark blue metallic. It really sparkles in the sun. I'll try to get some outside shots when they're all polished. The red one is now in the process of being modified to fit this format, making it more correct. I've got the black pinstripes on the white stripe done, now I'm just waiting to have the "GS" for the top of the tank to be made so I can lay out the other stripes.
