A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I'm really sorry for being a pain but I'm sruggling to put my shopping list together. My main problem is wheels as Ive said in a prevoius thread I would like to change my wheels
to 18" rear . The problem I have is that the only 18" rear wheels on ebay are for disk not drum. I could do with a model and year that I can search for.

These would work aswell 17" rear and 18" front.

Thanks in advance

Back in the day I swapped a rear wheel from my 1979 GS425L to my 81 GS450L in order to go from 16" to 18". Try searching for 425L wheels.

I think I’m going to have to put up with what I have ☹️☹️

No luck but I think the GS400 is a uk bike and might fit or this Suzuki GS850 GS 850 1975 Rear Back Wheel 17x2.50

Finding ANYTHING for a 1975 GS850 is going to result in a gold mine. :-k

The first 850s were assembled in '78 for the '79 model year.

You will also have trouble using an 850 wheel of any year. The hub is different on shaft-driven bikes.

There's some GS400 on Ebay Uk. Anyone know if these will fit. They're both 18" and would give the bike the look I'm after

Paul

Gsx250e & x7 rear wheels are 18" & same as gs450e, all should be a straight swap, not sure about mudguard clearance thou

There's loads of gsx 250 wheels on English eBay, they are what you are after, I wouldn't get a wheel of a bigger bike than yours cos it'll have a bigger dia axle, yours should be 15 mm

Ive bought front and rear Gs400 wheels off EBay so should be ok I think on one of the pictures of the wheels it does say gs250 both are 18”
