DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I read about the carb mod trick where you raise the needles by using 2 tiny washers (.30) that used to be at radio shack. but they don't carry it anymore. does anybody know if the washers that are sold at cycle o rings
are the same size?I've never done this so I have no idea of what size to look for.

I don't know about this mod, but I have just recently created a pile of junk radios (trying to put one in my fairing on the GS). If I knew what you were looking for, I'd see if I could send you a few.

u sure radioshack doesnt carry them? they come in a pack of like 100 assorted washers, lots of different sizes

Raido Shack has an area that has all the small electrical ( ie: diodes, switches etc ) stuff in bins that look like mechanics tool box drawers, they may be sold out but i believe they still carry it at least they did when i bought them.

HOWEVER-even the smallest washers may not work for mixture screws, on my BSW30SS twin carbs the smallest washer would not fit it was too big.

Try also their online site it may still be available there.

Try Hobby shops through the phone book locally that sell radio control cars the have tons of metric washers thats where i got mine.

hope this helps.

The radio shack where I live doesn't carry any kind of hardware. or at least thats what I was told. I'll check online and see. Karl I appreciate the offer, but like I said, I don't know what size would work either. when I get the top off of one I'll try and get a pic.

Not sure but 3 mm comes to mind
I think it was M3 (NOT 100% sure....best bet would be to do as Chef suggested). I was told Radio Shack up here does not carry the assorted bag of washers anymore....anyway, I no longer need them.

Tony.

I believe you can get them at about any hardware store if I remember correctly you are looking for size #2 washers. they are SAE size #2 not metric.
