A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

For a 83 gs550esd? Im very confused i keep seeing and hearing about people having pod filters on their dual carb GS but i've looked around and can only find the pods that fit onto the 4 singles... Nothing for the dual carb ones... Anyone have a link?

hmm, does anyone know if there is a universal filter that will fit?

Did a bit of Googling and found these.

I would double check them to make sure they are correct for your bike as I'm not too familiar with the newer GS models. (Newer being relative, I'm more knowledgeable about the 77-79 750 and 1000)

Those are the standard air filters for an air box. I currently have a k&n air filter in but im searching for pods. Im considering maybe trying to buy an oval shaped air cleaner and morph it to what i need.

Oh my lord. Lots of measurements... Thanks for that bass i'll try my best to figure out what the heck to measure (im still a bit of a novice)

Kinnet- Which air filters are you talking about? All the ones on that site appear to be for the single carbs. Not the dual oval shaped ones... Mine are about 92-95mm in width, the oval part.. and about 34mm high...

Hmmn, it was a while ago... Maybe I'm not very helpful after all. :(
Have you tried calling them? I called them when I placed the order for Essie's pods.

After looking at the k&n air filters none of those will fit my bike. The air side of my carbs is a solid piece..

Maybe someone can help me figure out which filter? Or am i missing something?

Off topic: thanks for the links! Sorry to hear about your problem though.
