    A note to old forum members...
    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I bought some at Auto Zone before...still have the excess.
 
It behind the counter so you will have to ask for it. I recently got a battery online and had to get some at Autozone. I called and asked if they had it, to which they replied yes. I asked how much it was and they guy on the phone was like "about $15". I went in and asked for the battery acid and the first guy told me "We don't carry that, I don't think it's even legal to sell". I asked another guy behind the counter and he said "sure, how much do you need?". It was about $3-4 for a small bottle.

They do have it, they just might not know they have it.

It's a shame that so many people who work in retail are stupid and know so little about their own business. I think it's gotten a great deal worse over the last 10 or 15 years. Nobody seems to care......:cry:
 
they only care about making their 8 bucks an hour or whatever....

no more caring about the customer like the good old days used to be
 
If they cared enough to learn their job thoroughly, most of them wouldn't be working retail, at least not for long.

This is the problem. At least in a Ma 'n' Pa operation they are both making enough money and commited enough to ne competent in their operation.

When the only one making more than $8 are the CEO's and shareholders, you shouldn't expect them to care.
 
For bike parts, it's online ( Bikebandit, Z1Enterprises). Their people seem knowledgeable and seem to care about your needs and customer service. For general stuff, use a REAL auto parts store, where the guys behind the counter are knowledgeable, and often have vast amounts of mechanical wisdom that they usually dispense freely. Pep Boys, Auto Zone, Advance, etc. are usually a complete waste of time. If you call, they don't know if they stock something (like Berrymans) or tell you they do, and then after driving there, find out that they don't.
