A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Bob Hurricane Hannah??

The Vetter/ Yoshimura GS1000s at Road Atlanta 1980.

Notice the Morris Mag on the front and a Dymag on the rear!!!

Graeme "Cros the Oz" Crosby's Yoshimura GS1000s at Daytona 1981.

18 inch Dymags front and rear that year.

Bob,
Those are some nice pictures:D keep em coming BTW Ive never seen them before. Did you take them?

Thanks, Not bad for being blind in one eye and can barely see out of the other one!!!

The 34 bike at Road America 1981. Don't remember if the Superbike blew up, or if the F1 bike did. But the boys from Yoshimura had to switch motors from the bike that did not blow up to the one that did.

Crosby's bike being warmed up at Daytona 1981.

Thats the front forks, brake calipers, and rotors from the factory RG500 road race bike.

Great pics, Wester.
Odd to see the calipers on the Vetter bike in front of the forks.
Was this an Endurance bike?

No, thats the way it ran the AMA Superbike races at Road America, and Road Atlanta in 1980. Check out the fancy brackets holding the calipers to the fork legs too!!

This picture is from the very first AMA Superbike race at Road America back in 1980. Again it has a Morris mag on the front, and a Dymag on the rear.

It is not a Yoshimura GS1000S, but it was the nicest looking of all the GS1000S's that ran in the AMA Superbike Series back then. It was not as cobbly built like the Yosh bikes were. Thad Wolff still races in Vintage Superbike and still wins!!! Think he rides for Ask Henry Racing.

Here is Cooley on his Yoshimura Formula 1 bike back in 1981 I think.

Well if we posting pic. Croz, Surfers Paradise, Swan Series Australia. Taken by me. Should have taken more pics

Wolff must have had good connections - that's an XR69 F1 bike with his numbers on in the background.

Just goggle variations of Wes Cooley, I put in Wes Cooley GS1000 and came up with a bunch of photo's, go to images, then click on the pictures you want.
I liked this one myself.

There's at least a dozen in this group,
It's just all too easy.

OK guys, go through the photos and see how many bikes you recognize that are known to you or you recognize as members bikes. I found three in about 5 minutes. Double Blues heavily modded custom, my black GS1000N pre-crash with it's matching "S" fairing and an "S" I've seen on here with matching luggage. It's also interesting to click on some of the photos to see more.
