I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

The Dyna III is on sale now $99,you'll need to get either the D33-1 or most likely the D33-2, you'll also need the mechanical advancer and the plate with the static timing mark from under the old, points/pick-up coil base plate from an earlier model GS, I know for sure up to and including the 82 1100s and at least 81 750s had them,as did most other sizes of the earlier years that I'm aware of, before they switched to doing it electronically in the module in'83, I think

My 82' gs1100gl has electronic ignition.
You can purchase a Dyna 2000 which has a replacement signal generator and new control (igniter) that has several spark advance choices and an adjustable rev limiter. With this unit you don't need the advance unit from an older model. IT IS PRICEY.

Dyna 2000 is the only plug and play option you have for a replacement without having to buy extra parts.

the Dyna III on sale requires the mechanical advancer from an older bike (like mine)...so i'd look at the Dyna 2000, which will probably cost less then a CDI box from Suzuki.

They said you can't? or is that a misspell? I believe you can, using the 81 mech. advancer and the provided spacer which comes in the kit, also need the plate with static timing mark

Dave.. i got many responses to that advice given to me by the tech help. I think ( I am deaf.. so my aunt made the call) that the call was placed with the parts warehouse and not Dyna. Regardless.. i have been assured that yes.. u are correct.. the older advancer can be used with the D33-2... and it will work fine. This man specifically said.. "you CANNOT convert the newer set back to the older mechanical advance."
