DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Hi, I have read alot about using the Honda R/R and was wondering which ones will work? I have an 86' Suzuki GS550L and all my problems lead to the R/R! I bought a used one on Ebay on 8-18-05 and no part and no response from the guy I bought it from and I'm tired of waiting. The price of gas now, I need my bike on the road! Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance! Jake

it should work.. the R/R does the same thing no matter what bike it's from... we have one from a cb500 on an '80 GS550...

R/R woes

I used the CB250 R/R it was called the superdream over here, if you get one i `will gladly let you know how to wire it in, you should leave one of the yellow wires disconnected though as the Honda item is so good it will boil your battery dry unless you run will lights on at all times. In the UK the Suzuki items would self destruct 5 minutes after the warranty ran out and the Honda fix became very popular and has so far been very reliable.

Mine came out of the CM Honda line. Seems one R/R fit about all of them. It had three yellows for the stator, a green which goes to ground (same as the black on the OEM), a red that went to the battery and a black that goes to a circut energized by the key. I used the white w/ orange stripe on the ignition module. LOL

Use the search facility to look up - shindengen - and you'll find all the model numbers, installation instructions and advice you need to install a reliable R/R.

BTW, the one I installed happened to be of a Yam XS1100 and was a Sindengen 232-12
