A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

My offer still to do your carbs still stands. If you sent them to me your carbs would never Florida. I just can?t do the trade. A little dry ice, a cooler and ice cream at the beach should make some extra cash. Gotta love Florida beaches. If you get the money shoot me a PM and we?ll setup something.

FYI: we?ve done thousands of carbs; we know what we?re doing.

Ok Iv been talked into it. Where are the instructions on Cliff's site?

It is probably well noted in the how to guide but
Be wary of the disassemly.

Use good quality tools and be ever so careful removing the float bowl pin as you can break off the tower it sits in.

Hi,

You'll find a link to my website in my signature file (look at the bottom of this post). I'm sure you can find it from there.

Thank you for your indulgence,

I use a spring loaded center punch to remove float pins & NEVER have an issue. Ask the guys that I showed yesterday when we were at NOS' house & I did his carbs. Posplayer, Basscliff, & Chef were there. Ray.

ok cool thanks guys. Also where can i get a cheap jet kit or just a set of air/fuel jets. i noticed i have three 50s and one 40. im just worried the person who had it before i, switched out everything. what size jets are the stock ones?

i have 4 into 2 exhaust

Hi,

Is it the stock exhaust? (The stock exhaust is a 4-n-2.) Is it an aftermarket 4-n-2 with less restriction (louder)?

Either way, with pod filters the easiest way to jet is with a Dynojet kit. The Stage 3 kit usually comes with three sets of mains so you can adjust as necessary. You can buy just the mains if you want, for a lot less money, but the real trick with the Dynojet kit is the special jet needles. Their needles make it a lot easier to tune the midrange. It's possible to shim the stock needles to get nearly the same effect. It all depends on your budget and the amount of time you want to spend uninstalling and reinstalling your carbs as you make adjustments.

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff
