    A note to old forum members...
    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

If anybody out there has got a MAC 4 in 1 exhaust on their bike, I would like to know if you have to rejet or not. the ad says in most cases you don't but I want to hear from somebody that has actually used one.
What is the sound level compared to stock? I've got a 82 GS 650 G and I like the sound of the stock exhaust, its just that the old pipes are looking pretty corroded up close to the head. If you have to rejet to get it to run right, I think maybe a set of newer looking stockers might be the way to go. The bike runs great now, so if it ain't broke, don't fix it. I've heard that Vance and Hines makes a header for around the same price $298 so if somebody has one of those feel free to post your thoughts.
 
I have the 4 into 2 on the GS650 with stock jets and it works just fine. The bike shop advises that had I gone with the 4 into 1 the sound would have been much deeper.

I put a mac 4 into 1 on a 1000G, about a month ago. It had a stock style k\n filter, and yes I did have to do some jetting to get it to run right. It was lean. But it did seen to make it run better\ harder after we got it dialed in. But that was just my experience, yours could be differnt!!
 
I have a MAC and a V&H that have been on my bikes at some point. Both required re-jetting.
