DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Are the 17inch wheels from the bigger bikes a direct bolt in on the 750? The 750 has a 17x2.5 and I would like to go to a 17x3 or 17x3.25 to use a 140 tyre.
Any one know ?
Thanks

The 1100 also has a 2.5" rear rim so you don't want that. Not certain if the 1150 rear wheel will bolt on. I'm sure the axle size is the same but the sprocket and rotor may be different. Also think the '84 may have had a 3" while later models came with 3.5.

Thanks , I have not been able to locate a rim anyway at this stage , The bike has a near new Pirrelli 140 tyre on it which seems too wide for the rim and I am nervous about how it will handle on the limit , I dont want to be spat off , I am thinking my best option is to go back to a 120 and am thinking a Bridgestone BT45 .

Yeah the 140 is a bit too wide and can make it handle funny. A 130/90 works fine on that bike. If you go with the BT45's use the 130/90 H rated tire. I'm running the BT45 V rated 130/80 and it doesn't fit the rim very well. I think the 130/80 is meant for at least a 3.5" wide rim, on the 2.5 it's pinched in making a narrower profile. And don't worry about the speed rating, even an H rated tire is good for 130mph.
