I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

So could I use different crash bars from earlier/later models that will work on my particular bike? Anyone? Im not very educated on what year models will interswap accordingly w/ my bike.

I seriously doubt any of those bars would fit. The engines are totally different.

How are your fabrication and welding abilities?
Anything can be made to fit with enough time and effort.

Meh, I have a buddy that can fabricate & weld but me personally no sir. Is there no such highway bars for 450's? Do they all have to be fabricated to sum extent? I was under the impression something like this could be purchased and just bolted on basically. Shame on me.

i seen all the rest but they were all 400 series so i wasnt sure myself on that but i did not see the 450 set. imma have to bid on these bad dawgs in hopes of obtaining them.

Well... The GS400 is very identical to the GS450 engine. They look the same except for the cam covers. I would think that they are the same width/height as well. Maybe they have different motor mount locations?

As far as I'm aware, all the 400, 425, and 450's share the same bottom end, so they should be interchangeable.

I'm looking for a set too, but I think international postage will make them too expensive...

I can be the middle man for cheaper shipping .

Having had both in my hands I can tell you they do not.The 450 and the Canadian(and some other markets)8 valve GS400 share bottom ends. The earlier roller bearing bottoms have different mounting points.Front mount is probably close enough to work for crash bars.

Aaaah thanks for clarifying! And you're right, the roller bearing ones are different, I keep forgetting that!

The cases look very alike though so yes the guards may still interchange...

how much would the shipping be to you in comparison to me here in Ohio for this ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/80-86-Suzuki-GS-400-450-Engine-Case-Guards-NOS-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem2a107b3f1bQQitemZ180665138971QQptZMotorcyclesQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories#payId I think imma buy this.

I was just gonna buy sum highway pegs to mount to my frame & just be done w/ it but looking at my bike here

It seems as if the header would be in the way of the peg mounting to the frame & sticking outward appropriately like it should. What do you think?
