So I finally got enough courage to take off the carbs and at least sit them on the work bench. which was actually not bad. I took the airbox out and at that point discovered a lone black wire sittiing there. I traced it back two or three inches to the wiring harness which is to the left on the frame just outside the battery area. it comes out of the wiring harness there with the two wires,(actually three two crimped together on one connector and one other crimped connector for the sender unit. and another black wire coming out of the harness at the same location going to the battery. I do not know if this black wire with a round connector goes to the battery or was grounded on the bolt at the top of the connector? please help.
Other question is I am trying to do things right and remove intake rubbers to get to those gaskets that need replaced most likely and I cant get screws out. tried impact screwdriver and not budging, just sprayed with penetrating fluid and going to wait awhile. my next idea is vise grips?? dont know if I can read all this way. I bought the allen head screws that were recomended on here is this were they go when I get them out?? So any tricks suggestions on how to get out??? Thanks guys
