A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • This forum is for placing reviews for parts, accessories, gear and service as it relates to your GS motorcycle. The key here is "GS Related". There is a bit of latitude here but we don't want to see a review on Maytag washers just because that's what you use to clean your riding jacket in.

Keep your review as factual as possible and please refrain from personal attacks. Posted articles will be reviewed by the Editors and may be removed at their discretion.

So let's make this a useful addition to the forum! A special pat on the back goes to Hap Call for coming up with this great idea.

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I ordered my 530 chain and sprockets(plus a couple of odds and ends) from Z1 Enterprises http://www.z1enterprises.com/default.aspx yesterday 6/22/06 at 2:30 pm and received my order in perfect condition at 11:00am 6/23/06 (today)\\:D/

I am only 180 mi away, but this is the fastest I have ever received anything (even local orders) that I have ordered online. Even though I had to pay sales tax (NY to NY transaction) I still saved $40 from the best prices I could find elsewhere.

I highly recommend these guys.

I agree. I heard about Z1 from a Post By Billy Ricks in the Tech Forum and I ordered a Speedo and Clutch cable which arrived in a Few Days. Excellent Service!

I bought my Dyno coils and wires from them and was so impressed with the excellent service, I wrote them a letter, thanking them for the service.
I don't make it a practice to write companies but when they run the company like Z1\\:D/ \\:D/
Plan on buying from them for some of my repair needs.

Love em

Jim,

I'm glad to see Z1 Enterprises took care of you as well as (better than?) they took care of me. Besides quick shipping and good prices they are excellent at technical support. I had an email conversation with Jeff at Z1 on a Sunday night when I had a question regarding the correct R/R for my bike. These guys really do it right.

Joe

I found Z1 from the links page on this site, and found out they're only 5.1 miles from my house!!! I phoned in an order, and was allowed to pick it up. I talked to the guy for an hour or so. He's good people, and i'll be ordering everything i can from him. He's got better pricing, and selection than most shops around here.

Lucky You! Most shops around here would Rather You Stay Away if it Ain't New and Under Warranty!

This is good news, I just dropped some $$$ with them today after reading that same chain conversion post.

I'll post a follow up when I recieve the order.

Yeah Z1enterprises rules! I did several deals with them and no complaints whatsoever and good prices.

Definitely will go back

Definitely will go back

Got some shims from them this week. Placed the order late Friday evening and had them in my hand Tuesday afternoon, via USPS even. These folks know how important riding is to us. I commute 70 miles a day on my GK and so everday its down, I spending a fortune in gas. \\:D/ Very pleased is an understatement.

I got my order yesterday, everything was in great shape! Definately an A+ :)

Jeff is a great seller. Ordered speedo and tach cables on Friday and they arrived on Monday. Not bad at all. Ray

I'm super pleased with Z-1. Jeff is an awesome guy to deal with. Does what he says he will and follows up on his customers. I couldn't believe how fast I got my parts! Definitely get an A+ from me. Guy

Another thumbs up for Z1! I called and talked to Jeff for about 30 minutes and he helped me choose my new sprocket setup for the 750. No other place that I have ever called would have spent that long helping me out. I mentioned that Z1 is held in high regard here on the forum and he thanked me and the rest of you. His prices are super and shipping was only 2 days from NY to MN. This is what customer service is all about!:-D :-D :-D

A+

A+

My order was placed and confirmed with Z1 through their website at 11:02 AM on August 1st, and was on my doorstep via USPS by 10:00 AM, August 3rd. It was a routine order (petcock, brake pads, some reflector bolts for license plate), but they did their usual awesome job. Hard to imagine looking somewhere else for stuff unless Z1 doesn't carry it.

Randy...

I've also met Jeff. He was even kind enough to spend about 2 hours with me doing an interview about customer service for a class I was taking. He is an prime example of a small company doing things right while keeping costs down. I actually have a ten page report about his company somewhere... All very interesting to a business major... but the point was... he does a great job!

ive been happy with the orders ive placed with z1 ent - fast shipping and good customer service. its nice to be able to speak to someone when ordring to confirm the parts are correct.

looks like they moved to a new place - hopefully that is good news

I have tried contacting them twice now about a broken Dyna ignition but still haven't received a reply mail. :-s

Hi Robin, with our move to the new building, we have been very slow in getting to our emails - sorry for the delay. The good news is we've just added a dedicated parts manager to help with the increasing workload.

Dynatek handles warranty work on their igntions directly as they run diagnostic checks on them, and will repair or replace bad units.

Just a general comment to anyone fitting Dyna Ignitions, check the voltage of your charging system before installing an electronic ignition. Some of the failures we've seen are directly related to getting fried by the bike - a simple check of the charging system is to put a voltage meter across the battery terminals and raise the rpms to around 4,000 - the voltage should peak under 15 volts - if it continues to climb to 16 or more volts, your regulator is bad..
