I've had issues when ordering from other companies, not always using PayPal, where the screen goes blank after you commit to pay. It never gets to the confirmation page. The companies have told me that they've had trouble with orders going through on certain browsers. I usually use Chrome. Sometimes I have to use IE which I dread. Did the blank screen happen to you and did you try a different browser?

I recently ordered a Tourmaster Air Intake 3.0 from MCS. Everything seemed fine for a couple days. I was checking on my order and it was up to a week until my order was confirmed(they advertise 2-3 days for pulling the product to ship out). Then it took another week for my shipping to be confirmed or so I thought. Nearly another week passed before I got the ordered shipped conformation. During all this I had called them once and chatted with them once. Really didn't get much of an answer either time. One guy told me my order would be coming out of Medford OR. Okay, when I finally received my order, it came from somewhere in NY. What got me is I ordered a few things from Dennis Kirk and Z1 the same day, Z1's order got to me in 3 days!, Dennis kirk in 4 days. Oh yeah, my order from MCS, the dang shipping box was about half tore open at the seam, they barely used any shipping tape. So, my first experience with MCS was some what questionable. The price of the jacket from MCS was its saving grace.

PS, PayPal wasn't used, just a CC.

        My $.02

I never sell, only buy, so I use a credit card. I think that's safest. For members, I send a personal check.

My friend recently bought a helmet online. He said it didn't fit quite right, and that he would never buy a helmet again except in person. Sounds reasonable.

First...what the hell is a personal check?

Never had an issue with Motorcycle SuperStore. Next time you use Paypal or use your Paypal account do so with their debit card they issue you, not via the Paypal account (email address). Doesn't cost anymore to have the card in hand. Also make sure your information matches your Paypal account. Such as your Paypal account is tied to a certain address/zip code and you enter a different address/zip code when ordering. I have two cards, one for business and one personal. One is at one address and the other has a different address. I have screwed it up before forgetting the business card is tied to a different address and it won't go through. Hope I relayed this information correctly. Also if you have old information tied to your Paypal card you should update it

With most online vendors that take PayPal, the transaction takes you to the PayPal site so that you can log in and approve the purchase, but sometimes you also have to confirm it from the original vendor's site after the PP approval to complete the transaction. Any chance that's happening to you, and you're missing it?

I was going to suggest this to the OP. I use Firefox and have a bunch of privacy-related add-ons installed. I use adblock, ghostery, and so on. There are a lot of sites that just plain don't work with all this stuff enabled, so what I often end up doing is running a different browser with no addons enabled (in privacy mode) that I _only_ use for buying stuff on random sites. Convoluted, but it works for me.

Everything looked like it was complete. Took me to a Paypal page and I clicked the "confirm purchase" button, then it took me back to MCS page that said I had completed my purchase, gave me a purchase number and said I would receive a confirmation email shortly. That was as far as I got. I did that 4 times, never once received any confirmation emails. That was it.

I also had problems with MSS

I ordered a tire, made an account and got a confirmation email that it would be shipped

                    Come delivery day, no tire

went to check my account-can't access it, says it doesn't exist

Called customer service, go around and around -she says my credit card was declined and they didn't complete my order. Can't say why I received a confirmation

Called my bank, they see the charge pending, tell me my card was not declined

Upshot, no rear tire from MSS

Called the local tire guy, he has the tire for $20 more, went down Saturday AM and walked out with new tire mounted in 25 minutes

Conclusion= MSS has some serious ordering problems

Why do people think they are doing everybody else a favor about warning you not to shop with a vendor that they had a weird problem with? I guess they are really trying to punish the vendor; yea I guess that must be it. Seems pointless otherwise.

Were the funds taken from your PayPal account? If so, it looks like a web site/shopping cart issue. If funds were not taken out of your PayPal account, then it is likely a PayPal issue.

PayPal is somewhat problematic. As others mentioned when you get into the checkout process with PayPal, control is transferred over to PayPal. PayPal has very slow systems and it's not unusual for the original transaction to timeout before the PayPal process is complete. On our web site we have increased the timeout parameters several times - and still get occasional timeouts when transactions take minutes to complete.

So Jeff, is that why my order from Z1 hasn't shown up for 6 months because of your time outs??? LOL< just kidding ya. If everyone shipped as fast as you guys, it would be a better world!

Buy your tires from Revzilla. No one beats their prices or their delivery time. If I order a tire on Monday, it will be on my doorstep on Wednesday and, they don't charge shipping fees either. They also give bonus bucks to your account for previous purchases and ask if you wish to use your credits on the current purchase. Just bought a new tire from them and with the bonus credit, no shipping charges and low price to start with, it was such a good deal, I would have bought the tire even if I didn't own a motorcycle.
