Delusions of style... I blame it on the West Coast Choppa' and other "reality" and drauma TV shows tagentally related to motorcycles. Before '07 they would take their... expression out on Harleys. Now with limited budgets they do so on cheap old UJMs. The difference being that before there was an entire industry devoted to producing variations of crap to hang on HDs that the mouth-breathers could order straight out of catalogs and bolt on. Now they have to hack and slap on whatever they can afford with very limited skill or talent.
I predicted that the bobber/cafeish thing would have burned itself out by now because people would get tired of killing and maiming themselves with them. But either the darwin pool keeps replenishing itself, or most of them scare themselves wobbling down their street one time and then the bike gets parked and put on CL & Feebay for a ridiculous amount hoping to snag the next sucker thus perpetuating the phenomenon.Comment
