Took a nice 3 hour ride this morning. Trevor asking me where the road was that I photographed the other day got me thinking that I take for granted living in probably some of the best motorcycle riding anywhere. Where I live as soon as I leave my house I ride along a beautiful lake with an up and down winding road. I don't have to ride 1 hour to get out of town and get on a decent road. This a picture of my house.... The lake is Okanagan Lake and is 85 miles long. home.jpg1986 1150EF

This is a road we call westside road. It runs along the 85 mile long lake. It's about as good of a motorcycle road as you''re going to find. Only thing that makes it less than perfect is having to watch for deer and errant drivers coming the other way driving above their paygrade. I can take another interesting road and I'm on this road 20 minutes after leaving my house. Sorry for sideways pictures, on this site sometimes they put up straight and other times they commit sideways. No idea why. This is by no means the only road in the area, there are different roads going every which way. You could spend a month in southern B.C. and probably take a different road every day and enjoy every second of it, even better if you aren't afraid of a little gravel and a few bush roads. westside.jpgLast edited by Big Block; Yesterday, 12:16 PM.1986 1150EF

I just never got comfy with gravel and street bikes like the GS's, KZ's, nor CB's... For me, probably may be OK with one of the newer bikes like marvinsc rides, KLR something, like an off rd. that's kind'f for st. also... Don't make sense as I've always lived out in the country. There's a GS around here with knobby tires on it, all good, just not my style.1983 GS1100E, 1983 CB1100F, 1991 GSX1100G, 1996 Kaw. ZL600 Eliminator, 1999 Bandit 1200S, 2005 Bandit 1200S, 2000 Kaw.
