Thanks Steve, here's the original 2012 (!!!) thread for those interested in the bike's restoration. I moved to Gainesville, FL in 2023, and it's now kept in a climate controlled garage. The 10 years in Miami Beach prior, were not kind to the old girl's alu bits (damn salt air...), but she still runs great. https://www.thegsresources.com/_foru...9-naked-cooleyOriginally posted by steve murdoch View PostWelcome back to the site, Jim.

I put the extra liner in the riding pants and will ride into town this morning around 730am. The forecast is for temps in the mid-20s. I'm planning on flipping the grip warmers on and hope they get hot before my pinkies start to hurt. I have big bulky thick gloves but I am looking at heated liners to wear under them. Everything else is protected but the fingers always seem to feel the cold.
I'm pushing it this year.

Never thought of black tape on the bottom of the visor. I do have a couple strips on the top though.Originally posted by Redman View PostToday, took my last ride at age 72.

42degF this afternoon and sunny.
So took the opportunity for my last ride at age 72.
S'pose to be colder and rainier the next few days, and is also that 4 letter word is in the forecast.
So I took that ride today.
Maybe back to mid 40s by the weekend, so maybe take a ride then. THen I'll be 73.
>>Later Note 1:
I'll appologize for the corny joke if you have seen it before.
>>Later Note 2:
I see the selfie photo shows the effectivness of the black tape on bottom of visor making a good sunblock.
Happy birthday!Roger

My heated liners work far better than grip warmers ever did. You can even wear thinner gloves which don't hinder your grip as much, IMHO.Originally posted by DimitriT View PostI put the extra liner in the riding pants and will ride into town this morning around 730am.
