Thanks folks, glad you liked the shot. How about something twisty? It seems to be something we all go seeking so let's see what you got? And Steve, so far my shots are taken on what could be a day ride from my place, you'll get to see lots of this sort of thing on your trip west. On the first photo note the road under the guard rail towards the right.

Had some pics of around here and a couple of southern Indiana, but then thought those are more "curvey", and not so much "twisty".
So went to my pics of near San Diego (although the RT, not the GS).
Here is the South Grade Road to Palomar Mountain, Feb 2017.
And, yes, I have always said "if you have to explain what is important/significant about the picture, well, that explanation is not part of the photo.”
But, I think, for the intended audience, this shot needs no explanation. Any rider's imagination will easily fill-in the twistys inbetween the 3 sections of the road that can see in frame of this shot.http://webpages.charter.net/ddvrnr/GS850_1100_Emblems.jpg

It seems the rules say or imply a bike has to be in the picture. Personally I don't really care because we've got some great shots. What says everyone else? Also I didn't realize until I reread the rules that my sample photo is also eligible, I posted 2 so I went back and deleted one.'84 GS750EF (Oct 2015 BOM) '79 GS1000N (June 2007 BOM) My Flickr site http://www.flickr.com/photos/soates50/
