That's a really good tip. I wonder if your friend who said that had ever been to Albuquerque.

We have an orange tree that our son grew from an orange seed. Its a big PITA these days. Its in a big pot and I have to lug it in and out every fall / spring. A few winters ago it had so many Aphids on it that I had to take it outside and hose it off. The trunk was solid brown with them.

Well I tried to challenge myself and take some wide view landscape type of stuff. I got sucked into the details yet again.

Just playing with some bird photos I took the last few days that had totally boring blown out backgrounds. Kind of what happens when you're spot metering a bird against a bright semi overcast sky. So I added some sky from my background files.

                    Interesting what you did.

Nice photos. Big birds and little birds.

Interesting. So you completely replaced the background? I'd have never known.

That's correct. My previous M4/3 camera was an Olympus until it died and their lens are pretty much totally interchangeable. Love the Panasonic way more.

Yah....that GX85 is pretty sweet. Makes me wonder what a G9 would be like...(STOP!)

Anyway, nice! Birds are hard....very hard. At least for me.

Yup. Photoshop has some interesting tools for streamlining workflow and I've been making a point when I'm out to shoot what might make good backgrounds.

Glen, pretty much all the development software out there can do sky replacements. Very handy thing, but takes a little practice.
Do a YouTube search on "Sky Replacement" and see how many hits you get.
