      To be fair………
This was the best commercial I saw while scrolling on my iPad while the game happened to be on TV.

      Figure it out.

Yep, Bob, your grandparents were like my parents, they also didn't like Elvis' shaking, jerking, & gyrating nor did they like the Beatles long hair. But can we admit Elvis' stuff didn't compare to todays shaking, jerking, & gyrating as the Beatles long hair (that "did not" cover their ears) doesn't compare to todays long hair. I'd think we can pretty well agree you, ya'll, like what you want to & I'll do the same. And hope I'm still around & wish'in for The Temptations & Diana Ross at next yrs. halftime. Also ya'll need to get back on topic.
There's a bunch of old guys on here...so vent...let it out!

My 31 year old daughter evaluates my generation (I'm 56) and says what you guys pretty much express...we live how things were in our time and apply it to today...and current times don't agree with what we experienced/what were use to. Pretty much because our parents molded things into us that are based on 2 generations ago.

She didn't explain it that way but that's my interpretation.

I am just happy we have a GREAT relationship with both our daughters--I would not want to alienate them or their husbands. As a matter of fact, the eldest & her hubby lived with us for a time while they were going to school/working. Once my son-in-law gradated and found a job in Baltimore, they moved to a hip side of the Inner Harbor/Baltimore area over 3 years ago. They come over on weekends to hang out with us and our youngest daughter & her hubby who are currently living with us and going to school/working.

As for the topic...I'm watching the SB again...surprise! I'm at the point where Odell Beckham, Jr caught the first TD in the 1st Qtr. I'm glad he contributed to scoring considering he injured his knee later in the game. I saw tears running down his face at the end of the game.

The half-time show was aimed at my peer group.... 40 somethings It's not my thing but it was a pretty good show.
The bit either side... not so much, too slow for me, too much stopping and starting and plays only lasting seconds. To my uneducated eye it's like a very slow game of chess played with mostly overweight pawns.... At least the fireworks after were nice (could see them from here... Sofi is not so far away!)

I'm glad that it lived up to the hype for the real fans though!

Ditto. When I got up today (only a couple of hours ago, it was a hard day's...night) I learned that it was not Beyoncé, but Mary J. Bilge.

Not to worry, guys. Next year the NFL has a game targeted specifically for your age group. It will be the Prune Bowl. Some killer ads for reverse mortgages and prostate meds already lined up..

Well, Tommy James is still performing in his mid 70s. The others may present a logistical problem as they are all dead except for one of the Righteous Brothers (would have to be Righteous Brother I guess).

It's cheaper to get cremated...just sayin'.

My sister recently passed away and her daughter wanted to have the body transferred from Austin, TX to LA.

My mother (who's paying to have her daughter buried) was a little upset at her grand-daughter (my niece) for trying to go extravagant. We both question why family feel the need to make up for something...

Anyway...you guys are all over the place but I seem to have a story to bounce off the derailment of this thread.

Oh well...I'm sure Rob doesn't mind or doesn't care.

Seems like Cincy fans are mad at Bengals coach for calling a bad play on their final drive. Rams defense stopped the run (because of Aaron Donald) and then stopped Burrow who went into a spin and threw the ball like Garapolo did in his last play.

The Rams REALLY wanted this Win...and it showed. With Stafford's Final Drive...regardless of what people may say that penalties gave the Rams the win...they still wanted it more.
