I was watching OMD (Orchestral Maneuvers In the Dark) videos because I listen to 1st Wave on Sirius XM and discovered, I don't have any vinyl of OMD.

Then, I see on the right side of the screen, the 1985 NFC Championship. So...of course I start watching it!

Man! That Bears Defense was bada$$!

Pat Summerall & John Madden are THE BEST commentators ever!

Even though Pat is a big-time Cowboys fan, he still manages to be an intense narrator of action on the field.

John is just hilarious in the way he explains the life of a football player. "You don't have to take a shower to come to work", he says! LOLOL!!!

I can't embed the video because it's NFL property.

Eric Dickerson and the Rams travel to frigid Soldier Field to face Mike Singletary and the vaunted '85 Bears defense, coming off a shutout victory over the G...

EDIT: I bought a Super Bowl LVI t-shirt & baseball cap for the Los Angeles Rams. For so long, I was a disappointed Rams fan. 30+ years later and I can say the Rams won one for the City of LA.

            Classic NFL Game

At 44:40, the discussion starts about Brown going out of bounds...it's Young, not Brown. He threw the hat when Brown went out of bounds...says John.

He did go out of bounds but that was an illegal bump!

Mike Richardson can't bump him after 5 yards before the ball is in the air!

You can bump that first five but that official, he did a good job of catching Young going out of bounds but he did a bad job of not catching the bump, that knocked him out of bounds, that was illegal!

            Love these guys!!!

                    Gmorning fellas!

I'm glad you guys are responding. With what's going on in the world, being able to think about another subject is crucial.

One of the Ukrainian women being evacuated said she told her children to smile and not show fear...because war will mentally drain you. (Not said exactly like that, but that's how I interpreted her comment)

It's quite a comparison to what we're discussing here but it's what I thought of in case you guys are serious about ME getting help! lol

Along those lines, I've been bothered of late by the tendency of some people to use the term "American Sportsball" when they're referring to what is the only true form of Sportsball. I submit that the term "American Sportsball" is thoroughly redundant.

It would be like saying, "American Pizza," or "American Fireworks." Remember what the famous coach said: "Sportsball is a game of centimeters."

What is this subject about "Sportsball"?

Who uses that phrase and why does it affect you in this way?

I'm curious...because all along, I thought you were messin' about.

                        Are you?
