A little touchy are we? Look, pardon us for caring about your bike. When you do get around to checking your valves, I hope you wont be needing any further advice.
1980 GS1000GT (Daily rider with a 1983 1100G engine)
1998 Honda ST1100 (Daily long distance rider)
1982 GS850GLZ (Daily rider when the weather is crap)
Darn, with so many daily riders it's hard to decide which one to jump on next.

Actually, it's only the 450 and 650 that have that style caps. All the other bikes with 2 valves per cylinder have screws that are readily visible and accessible.Originally posted by Seaking View Post

Yes, if I recall my old 550L had 2 phillips-head screws on the outside face of the caps. I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.
Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...
