If I EVER get this motor back together, I'll then be starting on the frame. I'll post up what I do with the frame. I will probably go with this bracing:

Bruce you may want to check the knarf project and craig smiths project over at oldskool, the brace shown here might be over kill. I know they modeled the Knarf project bike off of old Yosh bracing.

Thanks! I'll take a look. I have that old Yosh article on the GS1000 build. I did notice that they didn't brace as much as my photo.

Sorry Bruce, I've only got 82 & 83 1100 wheels left. Any word from the owner of the blue E? Thanks, Ray.

                          Bolt kit

Where are you getting your chrome bolt kit for the engine? I have seen them on ebay. Not sure of the quality..

                            I used these guys:

On this project I'm using chrome, not stainless.

To follow up, I didn't use a "kit". I figured out what I needed and ordered it. I used the mushroom head bolts for the cam cover and for the cam chain tensioner, oil cooler adapter and tach gear, and I'm using chrome hex head bolts for the side covers.

Here's a link to some pics of the project so far. They are mixed up a bit... I need to re-arrange the photos to show the progression.
