    Rear that I'm running:

Much cheaper to run the 1 piece steel snowflakes or whatever may be the lightest of the stock gs 275mm rotors to replace the monster 295mm 77 rear discs. The metalgear.com.au rotor is awesome though (pic)

Very nice. Got any pics fitted? I can't say I'm too worried about weight on the GS but I do have one of the slotted rotors fitted (from a 1980 from memory)

Just read this entire thread last night. Lots of good info. 97 VFR 750 rotors re drilled with a jig will fit on my 78 750 E, correct? Can I use one of my old rotor for a jig? Thanks.

Yes and no.... You need hub spacers to get the right offset as well.

Right, about 4mm I think. I am slowly gathering things for this mod. thanks for the confirmation Salty. I will be contacting you soon about brackets if you have any left.

Got my brackets yesterday - a day after my birthday, cool prezzie! thanks Dan. Cant wait to get them fitted, it will be some time over the next couple of months whilst I've got the bike off the road for a couple of other winter jobs! Will post some piccies soon!

I just received a set of rotors that are supposed to be off 96 VFR 750. One is offset 17mm, the other is 14mm. Is this correct? I had assumed they would be the same. Can I shim them out to be equal? Thanks

I believe you must've gotten rotors off of an ABS model... non-ABS models are what we need. Sure you could shim it, but I'd opt for finding another rotor with that same directional pattern.

Yes you could shim it out... I may be able to find a shim of the correct thickness.

                        One more set gone today.

I have a handful left & one whole kit incl some 2006 Concourse Calipers (grey) & some of the 7 button lightest rotors that work for this mod.

Do you still have the rotors? If so, how much you want for them?

These are the ones I am talking about & that's actually not too bad a price these days.... Cheaper ones do come up though.

I have a couple more boxes to check yet!
