Sounds like some good progress there! Bit hard to tell without the pic's though... what were you thinking? (jk)

I had to Google that bike... Norton Ala Verda... sweet. I like the pipes, although they're not quite right for what I'm looking for.

However, made by the same pair, this is more like it for me:

Can you believe this bike was made for Chanel? Wow!

    LED's

LED's look pretty bright. The orange ones are all angled differently and will work pretty well as turn signals. The red ones are flexible and have yet to find a home in the tail light.

Worked like a dog today getting all the welds finished up on the rear end. I extended the kickstand about four inches due to the new ride height, and managed to fab up a nice little battery box to fit under the tank.

Thinking about ditching the dual headlights and going back to stock. Ideas on how to fab fork ears?? The GSXR forks are 50mm. Thinking about tube clamps.

NO pics, but how about some inspiration? I REALLY like the color.....

    lights

They are not dual brightness or anything, so I ordered three of the red ones to try and make up something. FC - yes these are the ones. I might get to play with them tomorrow morning.

I wondered what's been happenin'... 12 and 13 hour work days suck, been there done that (still do occassionally).

Are they tail light type LED's or something else entirely?

Were those the ones from the link I gave you? Let us know how they work out. I've been thinking of getting them, not for my bike though

Don't worry, mine's still a mystery too at the moment. Have a general idea of what I want in my head, but don't want to burn my inner thigh off either... not to mention not burning my wife's inner thigh off!

Mind you the small matter of the engine being completely dismantled sorta eliminates the worry about an exhaust for the moment...

Collector underneath could be rather cool, rather Buell'ish and cool...

    Nope

Wrap is still damn hot and doesn't do too much good. I'd love to go scrambler style, though thinking about a collector underneath the motor with dual outlets at the footpegs. I am working out a "baffle" box that will help with length. The exhaust is still a huge mystery for me at this point.

I like that... but then again I'm trying to make a 450 Scrambler myself

I'm thinking wrap instead of a heat shield to stop the leg burny thing...

78 GS1000 wheels are the same pattern & use a disc.

I think the drum looks cleaner if you are going to leave that rear end kind of "bare" as it is in the pics above. Depends what you do with the exhaust too...

How about a pipe running back each side following the top rail? "Scrambler" style.

    Found:

Found a cool article on how cast your own tailights:

    Buell's rock!

That is one sick Buell. Although I would do without that massive girder front end. I understand the uniqueness but I don't like how visually heavy they are. The tail looks very similar to your current mock up. I like it.
