I'd noticed when I tried adjusting the carbs to fastest idle #4 didn't respond. Finally got to checking it out today.A clogged idle jet.Should be interesting to see if she runs better now.The pouring rain of this morning finally quit so I wrested the carbs in,softer boots made the job slightly easier. Still have to finish getting the airbox side done, need the wife's help and she was busy with the dog so we will do it tomorrow.Nice to have the rags out of the ports.

Yeah he's a great passenger till the engine starts

I was going to get new carb boots but decided to try this http://www.thegsresources.com/_forum...d.php?t=169370 first. The Rubber Renue recommended to me did work in the really hard boots I had sitting here.

Used my carb dipping setup to get the boots "fumed".Jabcb recommended I coat the parts twice in the RR then let them sit in the fumes.Might work for smaller bits but with the boots I soaked them for a 1/2 hour in it and let then fume.Dunked them in the RR and repeated all day.Leaving them to fume till I get home from work but it looks like I have a set on boots I can work with.

    I am getting there.

It's coming together a bit slowly.

I think my buddy is jealous of the time with the bike.

Looks like I need new lower brake lines. Not sure whether to go with 90 degree banjos or the 10x1.00 threaded ends

On her wheels with the new Shinko's in place. Was thinking I would repaint the wheels bit after a good scrub with Simple Green I decided I didn't need to.

Wanted to replace my signal/headlight decal with one FrankZ sent me.

Took a bit of piecing together to make it fit.

Some marker work made it look better.Looks nicer than in the pics.

Did the FrankZ ignition switch decal ages ago, finally did the 750's.

Thanks guys,it's certainly is getting there.Weather here FINALLY stopped the almost continual of the last 2 weeks so I could get this done yesterday.Have car stuff to do today (Sunday) but it won't be long till she's a roller. After that it will be waiting for the $$ for the parts it needs.

Thanks Scott, your 550's coming along nicely to I see.I've had a productive weekend:

Went to the DIY media blast outfit in Victoria https://www.google.ca/url?sa=t&rct=j...52434380,d.cGE and got ALL the rust off the 4>1.It was really nice to not feel as blasted at the end of doing some blasting.Well worth the $1 a minute.Had to run my header dent remover though it after your little adventure at Port Renfrew last year.

When we got home I sprayed it with VHT header paint.Baked it for for a few cycles in the oven, seems like the best paint so far.Read here spraying it with WD40 gives a more satin finish,it does but it will be interesting to see if it stays that way.

Found putting the swing arm in after the engine to be a PITA,it's way easier before.Makes the frame heavier to but that's the trade off.

And in a bit of carry over from last weekend I got the forks all done.Painted the modified lowers and took the bits I needed out of my other forks.Got some new seals and oil last week to finish the job.

So I waited a week and repainted the frame. On the appliance enamel thread http://www.thegsresources.com/_forum...d.php?t=213233 Old Skool says doing 1 coat makes it glossier.

Think it works better for the black but 1 did make the frame slightly glossier.Did the stands in black "epoxy".

And yes I've been polishing to.Swinger really came out nice IMO.

Blacked out the insides of the peg holders to.
