        nice job!

You'll delve into your own brainwashing for a fit but weak sinner that I am, I'd be tempted with

        "Johnny Walker"
        "Captain Black"

Digging it! Has a definite Walter Wolf thing going on.

From a post Hayabuser made on the VIBikers forum. Not a drinker so I'll pass on the liquor references thanks.

well, you did a fantastic job there, and "Beauty"! will do in the meantime!

Walter Wolf is pretty good. And sounds apt, German.... Red,Gold,Black are the national flag.

My ancestry is German but I never made the connection. This combo does make the German flag, kinda.I think I've overstated how much a new nickname is needed

Got a few maintenance items for the 750 yesterday. The gasket and filter are from my local dealer Kenco. The stator is from Tim Parrott http://www.tpe-usa.com/ .The stator I have in the bike works but looks a bit burned so since I really need a new gasket anyway why not do the stator.

The old stator vs the "new" one, which one would you trust?

All in and snug, without a Philips in sight

All buttoned up for quite a few years,I hope.

I hope you have something else to do, this has been a long time coming. I miss the yellow although I do like the new scheme. It was unique.

For this winter I HAVE to finish the 750 and the 1000.Been distracting myself with other stuff to long.I liked the yellow to but it was a compromise colour,a long story. There are still a few things to do here,a new chain being the on that comes to mind first.Kind of thinking what to do with the seat to.Have a good 83 base that would eliminate the grab handle of the 85.I'm not fond of that handle but every show I go to somebody comments on it.I smell a SVSooke poll

Well I did put that poll up http://www.thegsresources.com/_forum...d.php?t=216238 ,still open if you want to vote.

Could tell the factory cover was under the DIY cover and now know for sure why.

Think I'll use the 83 foam, the one in the front, when I get the new cover made.

The new lines for the 550 brakes came today. Thanks to Raymond at Rensport/Apex for another great pair of lines.

Got the brake lines and fender on yesterday before it got to dark.Bled them this morning. With the rebuilt MC,ss lines and "new" calipers the lever is HARD!

Polished up one of the extra rear sprocket holders.Seems like it is going to need a lot more sanding to make it really nice.Think I'll just put the painted on back in.

Been thinking about what sprockets I should get with the new chain.Been running 15/40 tooth vs the 14/43 that's stock.I like the lower rev's in 5th the lower gearing. brings. There seems no problem getting going in first either.Just can't help wondering if it might be better to go either 41 or 42 in the rear. For better chain life I'm sticking with the 15 front.
