A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Wow, rain went away, we had a great track day.
Gingerman Raceway, what it looked like to me:

This was a half price - half day thing, 5:00PM til Dusk or 9:00PM.
That was 5 sessions on the track, wore me out.
Only my 2nd track day, 1st on this bike.
I waited for a good forecast, but then the full day sessions sold out. This was good enough.
It takes a lot of learning to overcome the fear of slipping and power lean the bike way over.
Wore off my chicken stripes!

I'm envious Bill. I just take sander to the tire to get those strips off:cool:

It's surprising to most even what a set of street tires will do when warmed up isn't it? Must have been dragging a knee by the looks of it. That pavement looks smmoootthh!

Seems the pavement was just->JUST resurfaced with a special compound for racing, pity I didn't have the skills to use it.

Track Day 7-26-15

Track Day 7-26-15

Killer track-> Grattan Raceway, Michigan
I been there before on my 82 GS1100G back in 2011 [happy 29th birthday], I was probably one of the slowest bikes on the track, but not the slowest rider.
This time I was on my 90 GSX750F, [happy 25th birthday].
Anyway I had the senior instructor and coach, probably 5 years older than me (don't ask).
Really made me learn the basics of foot and butt position, the other guy in our group tagged along.
Instead of just letting us yahoo down the track, we were kept on the straight and narrow, so we were kinda slow.
What a scary track, in the morning you're ok-cool, but after you've been thinking about #3 turn > weird blind down hill hard left with reverse camber, you worry about it. :concern::grey:
Anyway I told Mike about this and he said: OK we'll slow down and get it right.
OK I passed, after using his strict foot method and body shift, I got cool again.
Really ripped up the back tire with them Gs.
