NO no, you have it backwards. Kent said bad things and you let him wheedle you into selling him shocks that don't work. LMAOOriginally posted by exdirtbiker View PostKomorebi-The light filtering through the trees.

I must be missing something....
a few of the shocks available are listed as
" 2 NEW SHOCKS COMES WITH BUSHINGS AND SHOCK TOOL
335MM-13.2 INCHES EYE/EYE
FITS
GS300 83-85
GN400 80-82
GS450 80-83
GS550 77-82
GS850 78-82
GS1100G 82-83 "
Seems like "one size fits all" to me.
So.... what's different about the Konis ?
The spring rates or internal damping ?1980 GS1000G - The Beast - GOING... GOING... yup, it's gone. I'm bikeless !!! GAaaahh !!!
1978 KZ1000C1 Police - GONE !
1983 GPZ750, aka ZX750A1 - restored, fresh paint... Gave it back, it was a loaner !!!

I know -JUST- enough to make me REALLY dangerous !

For $49. just rebuild the Koni's , if you still don't like them sell them to Tkent as rebuilds and charge him more. That will then help offset the cost of the new Proggresives that you will be buying.Originally posted by exdirtbiker View PostI must be missing something....

After more research, it seems that you have to "guess" at how much damping you will need as you re-assemble the shock ?
and if you guess wrong, take them apart again and "try, try again" ?

Anyone ever use air shocks? I've never rode them. Not sure I even saw them on a GS before.
Found some cheap.

What brand? Model?Originally posted by exdirtbiker View PostAnyone ever use air shocks? I've never rode them. Not sure I even saw them on a GS before.

Air itself works fine as the springing medium, the quality of the shocks is much more important than the fact they use air springs.
