tkent02, I would sell them to you, but you said bad things about my L , so you can't have them.
NO no, you have it backwards. Kent said bad things and you let him wheedle you into selling him shocks that don't work. LMAO

      I must be missing something....
a few of the shocks available are listed as
" 2 NEW SHOCKS COMES WITH BUSHINGS AND SHOCK TOOL
      335MM-13.2 INCHES EYE/EYE
      FITS

      GS300 83-85
      GN400 80-82
      GS450 80-83
      GS550 77-82
      GS850 78-82
      GS1100G 82-83 "

Seems like "one size fits all" to me.
So.... what's different about the Konis ?
The spring rates or internal damping ?

For $49. just rebuild the Koni's , if you still don't like them sell them to Tkent as rebuilds and charge him more. That will then help offset the cost of the new Proggresives that you will be buying.

After more research, it seems that you have to "guess" at how much damping you will need as you re-assemble the shock ?
and if you guess wrong, take them apart again and "try, try again" ?
          .. uh boy ...

Anyone ever use air shocks? I've never rode them. Not sure I even saw them on a GS before.
            Found some cheap.
            Any opinions ?

              What brand? Model?

Air itself works fine as the springing medium, the quality of the shocks is much more important than the fact they use air springs.
