Refurbishing a set of 78 GS1000 VM26 carbs with the LH side choke lever. Plan on installing a Dyno Jet Stage 3 kit I had lying around. Had a couple of carb rebuild questions for the seasoned VM rebuilders. For the pilot fuel screw, how many CCW turns should the screw be set at to eliminate the cold blooded nature? Thought it was 2 CCW turns?
Second for the carb rebuild kits, I believe the consensus is just use K&Ls kits. Just wondering what is the experience with Damineding kits from Taiwan? I will not need the Mains or Pilot jets because of the Dyno Jet kit but may need the valve seat assemblies. Wondering about the Damineding quality which I assume is you get what you paid for . . .
