I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Fantastic!

Now I'm curious about the Vespa and BMW projects...

Actually the vespa and the bmw single where in my possesion from 2016 before i got the GS. The vespa is a bored 2 stroke standar 50cc vespa motor to 90cc with all the money besides the overbore going to bling, cosmetics, tires etc. This little jewel was proffesionaly painted with a ferrari colour named Rosso Maranello. Its gorgeous the 1 picture i am posting here doesnt do it justice! Perfect for running around town in thick traffic its agile light and has a mean temper :biggrin-new:.As for the beemer its an ancient 1958 single cylinder pushrod motor with a shaft drive pushing 18HP. The top end was rebuilt from a mechanic friend of my father with +0.5mm oversize bmw piston. Its a 4 speed gearbox and its just another feeling to ride it hearing the beautifull note from the single coming out the muffler. I rode all around the island with her northern point to southern didnt miss a bit. Now sadly its battery died and got sidetracked in favour of the Gs. Sometime in the future maybe i will strip it and send the frame, tank, fenders etc to be professionaly painted so i can make it look 100% period correct.

Bike looks great. I would really re-consider the size of the pic you put in your signature. It's huge, and takes up a lot of screen real estate. On every one of your posts.

Better. Still huge. But not as huge. Here’s what it looks like on Mobile.

Sorry mate this is the smallest option available while editing the signature. Maybe your mobile screen is too small? On my galaxy S21 now its very nicely tuged under my sig not gigantic anymore

Awesome. Looks great.:clap::clap::clap: I just got a iphone13. hope to have it for a while. :chuncky:

I just happened to be a lunch, scrolling through with my phone. I typically use the pc when looking at the forum. Looks great on the desktop. And on mobile it's now no bigger than some of the others' sig pics.

Flickr linked images coming though loud and clear. Seems to be working now on posts 10 & 11.

Yeah i used my tablet to access the Flickr site and then i was able to get the BBC code so those are my 2 other bikes.!

Wow!! The grilled side covers, what an excellent idea! Beastly, badass bike, but still quite nice. That's a real beauty! They all are. :)

Thanks Mr Suzukian especially you were a big help with always your positive input over the rebuild threads.Any tips about break in?? Right now i have 90 kms on the new engine i am choosing routes with lots of twisties uphills and downhills using throttle up to 4th gear and to a celing of 6000rpms with lots of engine break. Also on big desolate straights i am doing pulls in 5th gear from 2000 up to 6500 rpms. As you can see now you understand why i was asking sometimes simple stuff. The GS in comparison to my other machines is like the millenium falcon in terms of complicated machinery :biggrin-new::biggrin-new::biggrin-new:

The Copper accents and the the patina on the ventilated side covers are killer. Very Steampunk. I like is a lot.

Thanks! Yes there are a ton of stuff copper plated on the bike and with the passage of time i think the copper is getting oxidated giving it a more rough look, i like it better now than when it was first coated. As for the side covers they are also very practical 3 bolts and i am in the electrics, battery etc. The bike is a product of constant work and care for the last 5 years always upgrading something. I didnt care only to make it look good but also to have rideability. But as you guys i am sure know it never ends this upgrading madness.I think it will be 100% finished upcoming winter with the addition of some tarrozi rear sets + fork brace Rich82GS750TZ wow man i just saw your rebuild thread you and the boys sure are brave lifting this fully assembled beast and bolting it into the frame :biggrin-new:. I cheated out with bolting the assembled bottom end on the frame and then doing the top end seperately.

Well done on that. A proper sync to finish it off and it will be even better.

I believe in breaking in the bike the way you intend on riding it. It puts the pressure on the bearing surfaces in the right place from the beginning, and I have found you end up with a smoother running machine. Keep on top of the oil changing schedule in the beginning, very important. ;)

Yeap plan of attack is to drop oil&filter at 150kms and also check if any valve clearances changed.while i will be in there i will re-torque the head and vaccum synch. I plan to keep using the mineral even after that for the next lets say 500kms but with giving the engine more revs (maybe redline??). Then drop oil&filter and go to my semi-synthetic Castrol power 1
