If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

anyone go for a ride today? Pics?

Taking advantage of the awesome weather here, 8 of us went up island to Qualicum Beach for lunch. I feel very fortunate to live here :)
About a 350km day

Couldn't eat much closer to the ocean than this...lol

I put all my luggage on the VFR to test it out before the big trip next month.

Then we took the little Mill Bay ferry back to Brentwood instead of going through traffic home....much more civilized way to finish off the day.

And then today I got the Triumph and the VFR out.....I gotta say....the VFR is much more comfy! Lol

Nice !

Went out again on the Speed 400...246 miles to end of break-in.

Had some better than usual weather here a week ago..... but not this week
T4rEb65l.jpg

First 3 inches of the 5 today.

Got in a short one today...pretty chilly at first.
No great photos, just a typical local road.
169 miles to the end of break in.

After a couple weeks of 20s-30s-40s and some days of ice and snow, was good to have 58degF this afternoon.

So, yep, go for ride.

Just a short ride out of town and then in town.
THis time of year, without leaves, can see up into the dunes. SOme roads have dunes on both sides.
Road in these two pics, turns and goes along the lake.

Signs, signs, everywhere are signs.

Was out for about an hour, when started to sprinkle.
Ah, I can get wet some, was great to be out. But, sprinkles was turning to rain, so I headed home.

My good friend Gary lives in Revelstoke BC and last week he had knee replacement surgery....he lives on his own and his daughter stayed with him until Sunday but had to get back to her young kids in Alberta....so I decided to come stay with him to help him out....I never thought I would be able to ride a bike from Victoria to Revelstoke in March.....but Sunday I did that....beautiful day too....got off the ferry at 10:50am and 640kms later at 5:15pm I rolled into my buddy's place. I was pretty sore....my rotator cuff has been giving me issues....
The VFR was awesome!

My plan is I leave Sat afternoon and ride to Merritt....and then Sunday it's 3 hrs to the ferry and a couple of hours home.....two reasons....it's going to be too cold to leave here in the early morn and my shoulder is sore

I was sorting the electrical on my E in the unheated garage Sunday and I was pretty cold (like around 3c at 0900). So Trevor's pictures are nice but he had a cold ride. Have a safe trip back.

On Sunday the lowest temp I saw was 7c on top of the Coq....saw a high of 15c....I got to the mainland at 11am......it was a beautiful day....heated vest and grips and never felt cold for a second...in fact it was perfect for riding with all your gear on :)

Got back today from Revelstoke....left Saturday late morning to allow it to warm up a bit so only rode 400kms to stay in Hope....where they filmed Rambo lol
Round trip was 1250kms....bike is working out great!

Along 5A between Kamloops and Merritt...one of my favorite roads in BC

On top of the Coq at 4000ft

My cheap park in front motel

Oh and while in Revy we went to visit a friend and his collection....nice bikes everywhere in BC :)

that's an incredible collection of dirt bikes. I've never so much as ridden one (DR650 and KLR650 aside), but have always loved the looks of the late 70s-early 90s era of two stroke dirtbikes, the big bores especially.

After a couple weeks of cold and/or rainy days, hey, a clear day and 48degF, maybe might get to 50.

Hey, find some excuse to get out for a ride.

ANd, it was this bikes turn.

Finally had a few minutes to get the Honda Barko-lounger out today.
Been busy, getting a new driveway and a garage being built.
All the Suzukis are in the storage unit!
Garage is going up on Tuesday, spray foam insulation being installed on Thursday, so they will be coming home real soon!

62degF but predictions of rain, so I waited a while, wasnt raining, so got out, was out for about an hour, and the sprinlkes seemed to be turning to rain so headed home.

Some signs that might actaully be spring before too long: some summer food booths open, and snow fence gone from beach.
