DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Oh shi:eek:..............Um......

Cool! Thanks everyone.:cool::cool:

Not prepared, give me a couple hours, and I'll think of something.:-k

OK...We all have somewhere we like to visit on a ride. A stop we often make. A favorite place.

This is mine, about 30 minutes from the house, and good roads in any direction.

Excellent subject Bob.
I vote for Dave's lighthouse picture... Oh wait it's not time to vote yet!

Good, Bob. Should be a subject that many folks have a picture.
I’ll vote for Norms picture of bike at an airport.

[It surely picturesque, but a little confining for longer rides.

Well, it is an island. :)

Weither a short ride just into town or a longer ride, I will most often include a pass by the beach or maybe go to this place with an overlook of the beach.
THis picture (to validate Norm's prediction) is the place that overlooks the beach/lake/pier/lighthouse.
Is in fall or winter, as can tell by the bare trees and the lines of snow fencing. In summer the beach would look more like a scene from "Where is Waldo?"

Could say that would be a more picturesqe view without the utility poles. But they help to show the elevation, and i choose a position/view where the poles (and trees) are the least obsturctive.

This year I'm only going to try to contribute only new pictures if I participate for the week.

So in that here is another shot from the other morning at my favorite spot. Pulled over on a rural dirt road. I call this place my temple as I often stop here every morning in the warmer seasons for sunrise meditation and prayer.

Best,

When I'm out riding, very rarely do I pass up a airport. This is one of my favorites. The Akron Canton airport. Around the static display of the Wright Flyer, there are "Bricks" you can buy as a donation. When my mother passed away, I bought a brick in her memory. You could say it's kind of a tombstone for her. Mom has been active in aviation since 1963 till she passed in 2018. She done it all from pilot training to stitching fabric to the wings of homebuilt airplanes. When asked what was the most exciting thing you've done. She'd say when she had to jump down the inflatable slide evacuating a 737 after a emergency landing! I guess that could get pretty exciting! Mather Arch in Fort Erie, Ontario. Peace Bridge heading to Buffalo in the background.
Some great riding roads to get to this destination about 45 minutes from home.
