A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    '78 GS750 Gas Tank Leak

A tank liner would be the easiest fix. I've used the POR15 motorcycle tank liner kit a few times and they are good value and work really well. https://por15.com/products/motorcycle-fuel-tank-repair-kit The only issue I found was flash rusting after the etch and rinse, use isopropyl alcohol...

Jdub goes there 1981 650e rebuild

This is coming along nicely. When I painted my engines, I just assembled it loosely, a few finger tight bolts to hold it together and used foam to fill the intake and exhaust ports and a few other areas as needed and then painted it, came out well and saved a bunch of time. 100F should be OK...

Jdub goes there 1981 650e rebuild

Project is looking great, when I was restoring my GS650E I found a NOS center idiot light box (Pilot Box) on line for $45.00 but didn't buy it, as I was trying to get it finished without blowing the budget too much, it was one of the things that I wish I had done. The other item I should have...

    79 850 g, no keys

If you have a key code, I can cut you keys, $10.00 each with plastic head, includes shipping.. The key code is stamped on the body of the ignition switch and usually stamped on the seat lock. Another way to jump the ignition lock is to remove the ignition lock from the bike, then remove the...

    Wacky vin!?

Wow what a transformation, great job. If you want a factory looking seat cover, you could try Pit Replica, their seat covers are reasonable and look very close to the OEM ones...

Sold a Suzuki and bought a Honda

Hey Trevor, nice bike. I've had to remove my tank on the Honda Africa Twin a couple of times (running wiring and cleaning out the fuel pump filter and replacing air filters) and it's a bit nerve racking taking all those plastic panels off hoping I don't break something, most videos I watched...

Powder coat or spray paint frame

I have restored several Suzuki Motorcycles including (2) GS1000S's and I used VHT Roll Bar and Chassis Paint (Gloss SP670) on the frames, the finish was about as close to the stock paint as I could get. I was able to sand down an area that was rusted or damaged and do a blend with the new paint...

    Greetings from AZ

Ha ha that is a deep rabbit hole but worth every minute once it's completed. I did not paint the rims, I just cleaned them up with warm water and scotchbrite pads to get the oxidation off, the paint on the spokes is the original Suzuki paint just cleaned up best I could. VHT caliper paint...

    Greetings from AZ

Thanks, I was pleased with the outcome, the original owner was impressed, the grin on his face when he took it for a ride after I delivered it back to him was worth the effort. All in was a little over $3,000 CAD so about $2,200 US.

    GS1000 head removal

Remove all the plugs and stick a probe camera down the spark plug hole and have someone turn the engine over, you should be able to see if there's a problem by doing that. If you don't have one already they are quite reasonable to buy and you will find other uses for them once you have one...
