If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

    Poor Man's Air Restrictors

Cool idea. I have a bunch of old mk8 nozzles lying around, but I already bought a set from zed. You could ask him what ID he uses for the BS to try to get a baseline! Link to his big thread about them IDK for certain, but I feel like the nozzle shape could really mess with the airflow but I'm...

    Exhaust pipe header clamps

Haven't got any advice for ya but just wanted to say good luck and keep us posted on the results! I might've tried to source/fab clamps that slide over the flange with those collars you put in after to secure it. Horrible description I know, but here's a parts diagram for my Honda xl250 that...

    Need Help IDing a 4 into 1

Maybe they were running a smaller cylinder to get higher compression so they didn't have the clearance issue I'm having with the bottom of the engine? I'm getting kind suspicious that it actually came off that head. I can't imagine that the bolt spacing would be different for the same...

I don't know for sure, but a magnet sticks to it pretty strong so my guess is mild steel

Mystery 4 into 1 headers (maybe 88+ gsxr?)

Alright y'all, time to find a home for this thing. Here's the deal: it's a bit of an unknown of what bike this thing should go to SO I'm gonna give it away for the cost of shipping with the deal that if it doesn't fit your bike, you'll pass it on to someone else for the same. first timer...

1979 GS750 left side muffler or 4 into 1 headers

I've been having fitment issues with the rigged up modified muffler rubbing on the side stand and thought I found my solution with a 4 into 1, but that ended up not fitting so now I'm looking for a new solution. Anyone got a spare left muffler or a set of headers they're looking to get rid of?

    Need Help IDing a 4 into 1

Howdy y'all I just bought this 4 into 2 into 1 header thinking I got a good deal for ~$100 shipped, but it's not fitting on my '79 750. The flanges have too tight of a bolt spacing, and the top of the collector where 1 and 2 connect hits the oil filter cover. The outlet would also run into the...

Some 3D Printed Parts for 8 valve 750s

If you have the original and it's broken, or if you don't mind having some time away from the fusebox I'd be happy to make and print one for you if you want to ship them to me.

Low Compression in 3 Cylinders 100 Miles After Rebuild

Yep. That made all the difference. I'm sitting at 130+/-5psi on all cylinders with the throttle open. Thanks all for the lesson and I'm glad I don't gotta do a whole other teardown (yet)

Low Compression in 3 Cylinders 100 Miles After Rebuild

Nope. Didn't know that's how it was supposed to be done. I'll do it the right way tomorrow I wouldn't be surprised. I haven't touched it at all since it got the bike. I kick start it most of the time. I'll open it up and see what I see

Low Compression in 3 Cylinders 100 Miles After Rebuild

OK back in the shed tonight and I had some unexpected results. I re-ran compression tests on all cylinders tonight, but the battery was getting low after the second cylinder (I forgot to plug it in after the compression testing yesterday,) so I started kicking it to test. I was getting much...

Some 3D Printed Parts for 8 valve 750s

If this is the right part, unfortunately it's different than the one I've got on my '79 750, so I wouldn't be able to design it without the original part or the fuse holder. https://www.cmsnl.com/suzuki-gs1000g-1980-t-usa-e03_model15990/box-assembly-fuse_3674049200/

Low Compression in 3 Cylinders 100 Miles After Rebuild

Not on the intake side I don't think. There a bit of a lip around the face of the valves. I'll check if that looks any different in the cylinder with good compression tonight.

Low Compression in 3 Cylinders 100 Miles After Rebuild

I didn't do new rings, I measured the old ones withing spec. I was hoping that if it was an issue, I'd see bad compression right after reassembly. I did do new viton valve stem seals at the time as well. I'm wondering if those would be too damaged by removing the valves again to reuse.
