A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

anyone go for a ride today? Pics?

Still can't get Connie out of the barn. Not from lack of wanting but too much snow. The DR will jump out all day but have to be above freezing for me. Way too much ice on my "gravel" drive. Doesn't look like you got much snow or it's all gone. Quite the change from when we lived in Pittsford in...

    Colebrook 2014 ?

    my winter DT400 project

Used a homemade mix. Epsom salt, vinegar, zinc anodes, and Karo corn syrup. It's a set up I got from the yamaha enduro forum. Here is a link to a website with the info. http://home.comcast.net/~rt66tbird/website/zincplating.html It's fun and it works out being cheaper than the ones you can buy and...

    my winter DT400 project

Got into DIY zinc plating and it seems to work out great for this project. So far, here are results Before: After: I know it has a gold tinge, just the lighting, they do polish out to an almost chrome look. Not going for concours but IMHO looks good:clap:

    my winter DT400 project

Not really too much work. Only about 4 cans of spray. In the end,it will only be about $600 in parts. Purchase price of $400 so for $1000 altogether, I'll have a new bike. My first bike was a 77 DT250, so there is a little sentiment here.

    my latest project

Well I finally got back into dual sport riding. I got rid of my 83 XL600 after she left me stranded after too much time and substantial $$ put into her. So 3 years go by and I have a good week @ work with major OT Look in my local CL and found a 1976 Yamaha DT400 with 9600 miles for $400...

    Kawasaki Concours - thoughts on

I have a 2000 Connie and have had her for over 5 years. Never had a dropping come up. If you are aware of the big gas tank,I don't think it should be an issue. It may be an issue with the height of the rider. I am 6'4" and she fits quite well. Been all over New England and have yet to have any...

what did you wrench on today??

I wish. She's just an '04 P-73 I have worked on over the past few years tricking out. Putting out close to 300 hp and did the 1/4 in 15.4. Not bad for such a heavy car but she is getting faster all the time. To put in a S/C, I would have to build the motor,to do it right. so that is what I...

    Gs1100e fairing options

If you have the fairing and the small amount of time, a GS1150EF fairing will fit right onto your 1100E. It helps if your bike is a '83 as Suzuki built the attachment points right into the steering neck. 82's I don't think so. I could be wrong. I did it on my '83 and it came out sweet. There...
