All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    Cybertruck

Oh, I was paying attention, where you? I've taken the evolutionary step to become "Homo Correctus" or "Always right man" as have most Americans (and most Canadians) on social media.

    Cybertruck

I hate anything that's "new" or out of the ordinary because I'm old and refuse to evolve, therefore nobody else should be allowed to either.

    "Fifteen minutes of fame"

Maybe someone forgot to put in the drain plug? I'm leaning towards either a hull breach or possibly a ballast pump that was installed or wired backwards. If it had two separate water tanks for ballast and one filled while the other didn't that would certainly make the boat list the way it did...

    Trigger Warning: Purists Beware!

Skip the lithium battery unless you also want to replace the regulator. For the amount of weight you'll save it isn't going to be worth the headaches

Concerts that mark major moments in our lives

Was at the Heat Wave Festival just outside of Toronto in '80 and The Clash was supposed to be there but they never made it, word has it they got held up at the border.

Concerts that mark major moments in our lives

Two shows stand out for me. The first was David Crosby at a bar in Houston just after he got out of prison and the second was New Riders of the Purple Sage at a barn just outside of Davis, CA. As to community it's hard to beat the Deadheads and just this last weekend I attended The Muddy Roots...

It's quite literally everything I own, most of the bulk is winter clothing and bedding and most of the weight is tools.

Moto camping? Want to join us?

Just baled out of the finger lakes region of NY last Monday and am now in TN. Don't have any immediate plans to be back north, chances are that won't happen til next summer. Sounds like a fun rally, I've seen it before on here.

Buying Tires - Front vs Rear

I ran a Shinko 777 120/90-17 front tire on the rear of my 450, the prevailing logic at that time was to run it in the opposite direction from where the arrow was pointing. The Shinko 705 was mentioned, it gave me every bit as many miles of use as the different road tires did. A great choice for...

    Rear tire size - 1982 GS450T

Never had a problem running a 120 on mine, probably had three or four different tires on it during the time I owned it. Are you sure you have the axle spacers on the correct sides? That would do it!

Why America Has So Few doctors

Earlier this summer I needed a referral from a primary care doctor to get my worn out knee looked over for a problem that still to this day persists. Ended up at a clinic in Athens, OH about four days after contacting them, they got me in quick since at that time I was fearful that I may have...
